These speakers are very clear and well balanced, with a warm smooth sound, (not too bright), and they deliver incredible low end bass for their size. I have them paired them with a Marantz amplifier (35wpc), and a Marantz DAC and it's a beautiful sounding system. The build quality is outstanding. I highly recommended the Wharfedale 225's

I chose the off-white, and eventually bought a TV stand to match the KEF's and their bolted-on stands. These speakers are the cat's pajamas! ;-)

Could have kicked myself for not buying this 225 Diamond model when I could. Has better bass than similar affordable speakers. Design allows close wall placement. I have good older model speakers but I don't have the strength or patience to pull them out into the room and I'm afraid my wife who is 89 will trip over them
