 I was unable to get through to Logitech, so I do not understand why this is the case. It is advertised as a new product, so I am stymied as to why the items have been defaced/altered, and I am concerned that I will not be able to have the warrantee honored if I have problems moving forward. Is this a refurbished or factory second? It is sold by the “Logitech Store” through Amazon, so it should be legit.  I sent the second one back and bought the dark grey version hoping for an unused item

The third one had the Serial Number intact, but it was obviously also a return because the small plastic pouch that was located on the back inside of the product box in my first two purchases was opened and the paper info was carelessly laying on top of the keyboard and not neatly folded within the pouch. I was under the impression from the listing that this was a Logitech store, but from the return info I see the store is called Olive Branch

 I preferred the sand color because the keys are easier to read without backlighting, but am keeping the grey because—at last—I have a SN to register.  I am happy with its performance so far, and have gotten accustomed to its unique magnetic system and find it more adaptable than my old Apple Folio type keyboard. I especially appreciate that this surrounds the iPad and protects the corners. Is this a factory second or refurbished Model?

 I used to type on my iPad on a lap desk while on the couch, but I can't do that anymore. My iPad used to be my "smaller" device for when I didn't want to type on my MacBook Pro, but now it has an even bigger footprint.

- The case is very difficult to open with the Apple Pencil clicked on. I'm not sure how this left the design lab at Logitech, but the keyboard "lid" has a tapered edge and is seamless at the edges. It nestles into the tapered case. So, there's almost no place to grab with a finger to open the lid without sliding a fingernail under the edge

- It's VERY heavy. Like, each time you pick it up, you think, wow, this is heavy. I know other people have commented on this, but it's more noticeable than I would have thought.

- Very heavy; Hard to open and get configured the way I like it for drawing without lots of clumsy reconfiguring; Difficult to open the case; See other comments above.

Not Great for Artists

 It is heavy, bulky but worth it IMO for keyboard experience.  Edit after 3 days:  I’ll keep it.  Major Pro: Keyboard is fantastic compared to Apple; soft press, quieter, and enjoyable to type on. Major Con: using the volume buttons or trying to turn off the iPad with this case is difficult because of the protective edge

 *Material on outside is similar to Apple but looks like it will last longer. *It provides real edge protection and won’t slip out of the case, neither of which the Apple case does. *Prop up screen by tilting in which is far more convenient than more expensive Logitech cases which require folding out a stand. *Price @~$100 it’s a steal compared to trackpad Logitech versions or ridiculously priced Apple iPad Pro cases

  Bottom line is that I like it and will keep it. It’s tedious to do the research so here is my list of pros and cons in case it’s of help to you:  Pros: *keyboard is quieter/softer than Apple and light is a big plus. *Material on outside is similar to Apple but looks like it will last longer. *It provides real edge protection and won’t slip out of the case, neither of which the Apple case does

  Major Pro: Keyboard is fantastic compared to Apple; soft press, quieter, and enjoyable to type on. Major Con: using the volume buttons or trying to turn off the iPad with this case is difficult because of the protective edge. I guess they need it to provide protection but it’s very difficult to use. I ordered this for my 11” iPad Pro in both the version with and without the trackpad

I purchased this keyboard/case combo to get the best of both worlds when traveling with my iPad Pro. The case feels well built. I don’t know much about the durability of the material used, but it seems solid. I also like how the keyboard snaps on to the case - it’s satisfying

 When I want to use the iPad like a tablet - it’s just not as convenient to use as it was before I put the case on it with its extra weight. I also think there could have been more attention to detail when it comes to opening the case with a Pencil attached. It just feels like I’m opening it at an awkward angle, wherever there’s a bit of space behind the pencil.

Mixed Feelings

You might actually prefer Logitech’s design, as well. It’s not as sleek as the Magic Keyboard, but the case will offer better protection for the iPad, the detachability and kickstand offers an extra degree of versatility, and the keyboard has a useful function row. The 11-inch model is available to pre-order now, while the 12.9-inch version is listed as “coming soon

The Combo Touch is a Surface-style option

 - It’s expensive. Sure, cheaper than Magic Keyboard, but $200 for a keyboard case is kinda nuts, right?  Overall I feel it’s worth a 4.5-star review. If money isn’t an issue, go for it, it’s a very solid keyboard case with few design flaws, and I think it’s as good (or better) than the Apple Magic Keyboard

 It’s nice to have this added layer of screen protection.  *** DISLIKES *** - As someone who uses iPhone/iPad but Windows laptops/desktops, getting used to the keyboard layout will take some time. I use the CTRL key a lot while typing (CTRL+Backspace to delete entire words, for example). On this keyboard the Emoji key is where I’d expect the CTRL key to be (bottom left corner)

Clearly there has been a lot of effort that went into designing something that matches customer needs, but sadly the execution is off on nearly every part of the case that makes this a compelling purchase. Ultimately its a paradox: the case is too heavy, yet still flimsy

Absolutely love this case. I had bought a “cheap” one for $40, but it wasn’t that great. This one from Logitech is worth the money spent. The quality and functionality is perfect
