Failed on day 2 of John Muir Trail - Katadyn replaced for free

 It's much lighter than the Pure Hiker that I've used for many years and still have. For longer more remote trips I've learned to trust the Pure Hiker, haven't had this long enough yet to take it on a long remote trip. But so far I'm liking it and have no complaint.

 Wide Mouth for easy fill. Easy to push the water out. Ease of folding when done.(never done drinking at 6k feet) As i mentioned, this was my first, Filter Water Bottle

  It’s pretty….  Cons:  The plastic is maybe a little too flexible. Obviously not terribly so since I’m buying again and giving high stars, but if it had just a bit more stiffness to it it would likely be a benefit. Matter of finding that balance between “collapsible” and “floppy when not completely full”

 Plus, I wouldn't have to keep refilling it! 😉 I realize in retrospect, this was a mistake. The 25 oz size is just too big to carry around with you. Especially, if you travel and are on the go all day for work like I am. It didn't fit in the cup holders in my car (I know, I know, I should've read the description better 😉) and took up a lot of space in my work bag

. I did write the company about the smell and they suggested I use a rinse with vinegar and water, which I'm going to try tonight to see if it works. What's more, they did say they would make it right if that didn't work. As a customer, it gives me great comfort to know their customer support service appreciates and values their customers experience

From my standpoint, if they're willing to try to understand what's involved in the situation, try to remedy the problem, and offer to fix it if their solution doesn't work what else can one ask for?  The Wave is pretty good but when I can just clip the skeletool on my pocket, why would I put a holster on my belt?

 -I wish I bought one size bigger because its a little smaller than what I am used to (but that's on me)  Overall: This is one of my favorite water bottles and has pretty much resulted in me not using my Hydroflask or old Swell bottle. It’s affordable, well made, and looks really good. Would recommend.

 -You really need to scrub the bottle out by hand if you drink anything other than water. Great Water Bottle With One Inconvenience

 I feel like I'm playing the lottery here. What I like about Simple Modern bottles is that they look nice (at least in the photos anyway) and they have an unpainted stainless bottom, which means no paint scratches compared to MIRA and their shape is pretty much "standard". I just would like one more S|M like my first one, but a different color, and I'd like to be getting EXACTLY what I'm paying for, as described and as shown in the photos. Beware: the 2-tone color models, all of which show floating ocean bubbles, do NOT have any ocean bubbles at all

 I have three, but the 25 oz. size has a slightly larger shape that doesn't fit most standard-size neoprene cozies. However, the Aorins cost a few bucks less and come with their own cozy, a carabiner, a bottle brush, a cap brush, a stainless bottom, paint textures that prevent slippage and dropping, a very nice-looking etched logo, and a wider rubber seal for ultimate longevity and leakage protection. First class is the hallmark of an Aorin water bottle

  One beef I'd like to mention for the sake of others is that I'm growing weary of ordering items from Amazon like these water bottles (brand seems irrelevant) being delivered in bubble plastic envelopes where the retail box is crushed to the point of compromising the product integrity. I feel this needs to stop and that items like this should more appropriately be shipped in cardboard boxes. I have ordered countless items from Amazon over the past 7 years and have received a large percentage of items in those envelopes and whose retail boxes were crushed approximately 90% of the time. Just send them in boxes! All 6 of my water bottles were delivered this way and the retail box was crushed or deformed so that the product was unfit to be properly gifted

Colors are off, zero ocean bubbles like there are in the pics.

I live in AZ and I bought these in several colors. When I received them, they seemed to work great but I wanted to put them to the test. So on the day the temperature was going to be 119 degrees, I took cold water and filled the bottle. I did not add any ice when I filled it

I have 3 SM bottles and this is my favorite! The slim design fits in my crossbody purse perfectly and the 17oz is perfect for short outings.

This is a very good quality water bottle, whatever you puts in it remains cold throughout the whole day and doesn’t leak at all, the black color does have some shimmer and shine in its color. The only thing I don’t like with their water bottles is only after using it a few times the cap squeaks very loudly when you open and close it and I can’t figure out a way to get rid of it. But other than that it is a nice bottle that will last you very long

 I like the smaller 17oz size, but I could see the appeal in a bigger bottle as well, especially if you are planning to do a lot of exercise without a readily available water source nearby.

 I have in the past only purchased glass bottles because I could taste the metallic aftertaste of steel bottles and that disgusting plastic taste of the plastic ones. I bit the bullet on this one because I needed something lighter to take on hikes and to travel with (my glass bottles were too large to fit into the side pockets of my little bike backpack that I use all the time). I bought this right before a trip to Israel, where I spent half of it in the desert. I read all the reviews about how cool it kept water and for so long, and took the leap

  Visually I love the bottle. It's a beautiful bottle and I get many compliments on it. It has scratched off at the bottom where my metal water bottle holder on my bike has scratched against it. I still think it's durable as it got no scratches before that, and shoving it into metal that grinds against it really isn't fair to the bottle

Cold water hours and hours later

 By the evening there was only one or two shreds of ice left. I decided to stop drinking it after 6 hours to really test it. I left it sit overnight probably half way full maybe less and that shred or two or ice cubes left. I woke up the next morning and the ice was all gone but the water was still ice cold somehow! Very impressed

My son wants a smaller bottle since he can not finish 18oz water at school. The quality is good. The reason to give it 4 star is that I want it to be slimmer.
