You might not even fully realize just how much you want a ski like this. For high-volume ski touring, steep-and-rowdy firm-snow ski mountaineering, and work-week, headlamp exercise skinning, a lightweight set-up based on the K2 WayBack 80 is just the ticket. The featherweight construction flies uphill. The narrow and stiff construction grabs on the steeps but gets bucked around in tougher snow. 
This is a specialized tool. You won't pick these for day-to-day backcountry skiing. Deep, perfect powder snow is enjoyable, but bigger guns will be even more fun. Any sort of poor snow &#40;breakable crust? Slop?&#41; is better handled by a bigger and heavier option. All small skis are under-equipped for tough snow, but the K2 does better than most. It is this ski's more forgiving tough-snow performance that edges it ahead of other close competitors.

Obviously I won't be taking these out for powder laps but for long/fast and/or late season missions this is a great choice at a great price. Match them with a race binding (I mounted a Plum 150), light boots and race skins and you'll have a setup you won&#39;t mind hiking with to find snow in mid summer.

I got these for late spring/summer use and couldn't be happier. They are very light but can still be skied hard. I have found they shine on steep icy slopes (skied bulletproof on Temple SW) and they handle those horrible summer sun cups just fine. Compared to the Waybacks 88s I find they are a bit less grabby in breakable crusts and easier to control on steep ice

 We have aramid, which is similar to Kevlar, so it's a stiffer material, carbon fiber, and fiberglass. And it is kind of interwoven throughout the length of the ski, and where we have the different materials just kind of blends stiffness with dampness. So it really helps with just making for a really smooth ride, limiting vibrations throughout the ski. And for the aramid material, it's distributed kind of horizontally throughout the length of the ski, and so that really controls the torsional stiffness when you're moving the ski just from side to side

 As far as shape, as I said, it's 110 underfoot, so pretty wide, definitely a more powder ski. We have carbon underfoot or camber underfoot, sorry, and then rocker in the tips. And then, as I said earlier, most of the Pandora models in this lineup have a pretty square tail, so pretty directional shape, and this has a little bit more of an early rise just for that powder performance. Still just a really lightweight powder ski, definitely for a 110 underfoot

 So it really helps with just making for a really smooth ride, limiting vibrations throughout the ski.  Hey skiers, Emily from SkiEssentials.com. Welcome to our 2023 ski test. Today I'll be talking

 about the Line Pandora 110. This is the widest option in the Pandora lineup, so jumping up

 from the narrowest, which is 84 underfoot, to now 110. So we gain a lot of surface area,

 more rocker, more taper, so you're really getting just a great floaty, powder performance

 style ski with a somewhat directional shape, but just a little bit more early rise in the

 tail. Given that it's a more powder-focused ski, you still get that lightweight, stable

 feel out of the performance, and really all the Pandora skis have those traits. So really

 just all-around great ski, same construction as last year, new graphics, so this one is

 really flashy, bright. I really like this look a lot, and just the ski itself is really

 fun. And as far as construction goes, this model is strained quite a bit from the other

 Pandora options. This ski has a core called the Partly Cloudy Core, so that's Line's

 name for basically a blend of lightweight polonia and maple wood, so it's just the

 best strength to weight ratio. We also have something called Triple Hybrid Construction,
