 So that's going to be a flat camber from just outside of the insert packs with a slight amount of early rise in the nose and then a little bit less early rise in the tail. So the whole point of that is it makes turn initiation super easy. It gives the board a really nice catch-free easy feel. So if you're just figuring out how to link your turns or you're progressing past that, that's why this rocker profile is so perfect for this board

 So you're going to get a lot of extra pop and flex out of it over time. It's not going to break down. So you don't need to replace it just after one season. So there's a lot of added benefit

 intermediate rider looking to take their progression to the next level. So a couple

 of the key features to the Ray Gun that makes it so great for that rider looking to progress

 is it's going to prolong the life of the board. So you're going to get a lot of extra pop and flex

 out of it over time. It's not going to break down. So you don't need to replace it just after one

 season. So there's a lot of added benefit. We definitely try to pack in as much high quality

 materials into even our price point boards. Overall, the Ray Gun is an awesome board if

 you're that beginner intermediate rider looking to take your skills to the next level. If you want

 They make sure they source it from a single species of pure wood. Aspen provides really proven flex, durability and snap. Just the quality of the wood means that the board's going to maintain all of its snap and all of its flex properties throughout its life. Using one sustainable core that's all the same wood also means that you're going to get a really consistent flex pattern throughout the board

2017 / 2018 | K2 Raygun Snowboard | Video Review

 Here I've got the 2018 K2 Ray Gun. It's an all-mountain freestyle deck with a sort of

 a medium flex, so it gives you the best of both worlds. It's not too sift, not too soft,

 so nice and responsive, yet playful when you want it to be. It's a directional twin shape,

 so the nose is slightly longer than the tail. It's set back about 19 millimetres, so the

 bindings are set back that much, or the inserts, should I say. With that in mind, K2 have used

 a directional rocker camber profile on the board. They've got a really smooth, flat camber

 between the bindings with an exaggerated rocker in the tip and slight rocker in the tail.

 What this does, it provides more float and more stability in loads of varied conditions.

 The flat section in the middle of the board just means that it's still nice and lively

 on an edge, still going to carve quite well, and still going to provide plenty of pop.

 It's not going to be too wishy-washy. Those big exaggerated rocker sections out in the

 nose and tail should be really good in the soft stuff as well. K2 have used their 2000

 extruded base on the ray gun, so it's a really, really high molecular quantity extruded base,

 so pretty good quality for an extruded base. It holds wax well. It's really easy to repair

 and is still pretty quick as well. What K2 have used in the ray gun is something they

 call their Hybrotech. These are sidewalls that run along the length and are extended

 up to the nose. They run along the length of the edge of the board, up to the nose.

 What these do is just provide a really low swing weight and easy edge-to-edge transition,
