 So it's really good transition of power from your foot right into the ski So you can actually feel that right in the middle here It's quite stiff right here in the middle, which is right where you want to have that really good power And then it pushes out into the ski nicely So if you're looking for a hard charging ski either for the Alps or pretty much anywhere This one right here.  You can choose a number of different lengths there's a lot of options, but this one is really good to talk about because it's the middle of this ski ski line and Honestly, like the 108 is just totally money. Like this is probably the one you want So first piece of tech is the the why beam and so that's you can see it right here it's a why up top and then a spoon in the back and Sometimes we say it's for like the hardcore business up front and party in the back But really what that means is that you want to have like a strong initiation You're like me that's maybe that really wants to push it So this design is really powerful initiation really powerful middle of the middle of the turn because of the power wall that I'll talk About in a second and then the tail is easy so you can smear it or you can adjust You can do all those different things and it really comes down to on the day Like how much courage do you have going down something and sometimes you're like, I don't know what's down there So it's really nice to be able to adjust mid-turn So the other piece of technology in here Is the power wall and this was designed specifically for the mind bender series and one of these is it's it's Incorporated into the wood core.  You want a nose butter, you want to get flexing, you want to be on them things. Line blend held up for that. The swing weight feels like there's nothing under my foot. Also ripping the groomers, very nice to turn with, pops you in and out of your next turn

2023 Line Blend Review - Newschoolers Ski Test

 So it's a hundred millimeters underfoot, which does open up the possibility for more all-mountain skiing, freeride, soft snow stuff, but really best suited for terrain park applications, mostly due to that extremely flexible nature of the ski. We are built with a maple macro block, so wider stringers of maple wood give this thing its flexibility. You know, they definitely do a good job of thinning it out in order to increase the flex and the bend of the ski, but that maple also has kind of rigid properties to it that keep it damp and stable, you know, whether you're going at a pretty high rate of speed or if you're just using this in more of that freestyle format. We do get that maple macro block and then we also get some carbon stringers running through the ski that do provide the energy and the snap line says that they put them in there so you can ollie over snowboarders

 It is a symmetrical flex to it, so there's not a whole lot of difference from tip to tail. It's very consistently flexible, pretty light too. I mean this is the 171, so we are going to see a lighter weight than a longer length, but we're at 1660 grams on this ski, so it does kind of fall into that category of being light and maneuverable and incredibly quick, even for 100 millimeters underfoot. We also get symmetrical rocker on this one, so that kind of speaks to the, you know, consistent nature from tip to tail

It's very symmetrical and then when we see it from the side line here, you know, rocker starts down about here, right where that cap wall ends, so that gives the tips a little bit more of a floaty feel to them and then, you know, pretty straight taper, pretty true

 I'm not one for buttering all that much, but with these you just can't resist. They're so fun to play around with and they allow for a lot of variations that are only possible with such a unique flex pattern.

 The wide square tips and tails also make the ski easier to balance on when you're flexing them. So in other words, the Blend is really designed from the ground up for fun, fun, and more playful fun. I'm not one for buttering all that much, but with these you just can't resist. They're so fun to play around with and they allow for a lot of variations that are only possible with such a unique flex pattern
