Best Laptop Sleeve of 2022 - GearLab

 I do not put my charger in the front pocket as that makes it a little bulky and awkward, but I appreciate the convenience of storing my earbuds in there. A strap or handle of some kind might make this more travel-friendly, but even without it, it fits easily in my backpack or bag with room to spare, so I’m not very inconvenienced. I have used it all semester with no signs of wear. All in all, I am very happy with this laptop case

I wanted a case that was no bigger than it needed to be for my 2021 MacBook Pro 14 — many cases are generic and for all kinds of 14" laptops, making them bigger than they need to be. As you can see by the photo, the tomtoc case fits the MBP14 perfectly - there's no extra space. In fact, you kind of have to fit the MBP into the case. That's not a bad thing though, it's what I wanted

despite the sub-one inch differences between M2 Air and M1 14” Pro, which represent a fairly large cubic difference, this fits the 2022 Macbook Air M2 almost perfectly. there’s some extra wiggle room since it’s meant for the 14, but it’s way better than the 13” case that purports itself to work with the new M2 Air. it’s rather bulky, so not what i’d use to also carry in a pack, but it’s damn near perfect for standalone carry.

I purchased this for my new M1 Max 16" MacBook Pro. I've had sleeves for my previous MacBooks, but wanted something made to fit the new machine and something that offered more protection for drops/falls. Obviously, there are tradeoffs for size, comfort and ultimate protection.

.. but I wasn't interested in a rigid, bulky case. I've had the laptop and new sleeve for a month now and I am super impressed with the sleeve
