 So HyperX, good on you for having those things. Now moving on to the design of the keyboard itself. And this is where HyperX did very well. And this keyboard stands out from a lot of other keyboards that I've tried in the past at this price point

 But then again, I am not a pro gamer. I am nowhere near a pro gamer. I'm just someone who plays games here and there every now and then, and the keyboard worked perfectly fine. Overall, for $90, you're getting a really solid keyboard

 And this is where HyperX did very well. And this keyboard stands out from a lot of other keyboards that I've tried in the past at this price point. The body is made out of aircraft grade aluminum, and you can definitely tell you pick it up. This thing has some heft to it and it's built very well

 First off, you get just a quick start guide and some documentation. You get the keyboard itself as well as a braided USB-C cable. Pretty quick unboxing. Now starting off with the design and first the wire that's included

HyperX Alloy Origins Review - You Really Can't Go Wrong!

 fantastic build, you do have rubber feet on all four corners right there and you have two feet popping out on this guy and it's incredibly sleek. There'S not really these sharp edges or anything. It rolls right around the corners right there. It'S compact there's no excess space on the top or anything sure you don't have to mediate keys or anything like that

 Now talking about those differences right there as far as the 1.8 compared to the 2 or the 80 million and 50 million, I've never had a keyboard go out on me as far as they switch as far as 80 million clicks or - and it's like that right, You know so I don't think that's something. But you also have onboard memory with on the keyboard just function, and you have your profiles right up here: function. 1, 2 & 3 right here, so BAM, we'll just press that and it'll switch right over again

 It rolls right around the corners right there. It'S compact there's no excess space on the top or anything sure you don't have to mediate keys or anything like that. You do have your shortcuts right up top with your function and all that, but you don't have any excess media keys up top or anything. The frame of the board is pretty much right around the key caps right there, and it is just perfect, nice, compact and very sleek next up what I want to talk about all the switches on ass board

 Wasn'T it all right all right, you know where I want to start right here cuz. This is honestly my first reaction taken out of the box looking at it before I even use it or anything, just getting it in my hands, and that is the build. This keyboard has a 100 % complete aluminum body right, underneath the keys and on the bottom, the whole shebang is aluminum, and this thing has some nice weight too. It'S not like drastically heavy

 Does collect oil and fingerprints if you have dirty fingers. Keycaps are replaceable. Text on key caps is very visible at a glance and has RBG lighting  Would be great if there were more media controls  I like the weight on the keyboard. Will not slip during use, no need to put a grip pad under it  Has removable braided cable (USB Type C to USB)

 Also the plug is on the right hand size instead of the left which is an odd design choice  Life span of 80 million keystrokes. Even if you game using WASD keys, should last you a long time. Even by the time it starts deteriorating, you most likely go for a new model by then and already well worth the cost  Overall, very good keyboard in terms of functionality on the hardware side. Software not so much as with the lack of onboard customization

 The look, design, it's clean and does its job. While I personally don't like the look of low profile cases, this is clean and is all aluminium so it's nice and solid. Definitely the main feature of this board for me are the HyperX keyswitches. This is basically what will set it apart from other gaming mechs, but it isn't drastically different from a standard switch

 This is because it is made from aluminium as said, and has a floating key design, which means the switches are partially exposed, as it has no top enclosure. And the mounting plate is up top, also referred to as a low profile design. Because of this, it looks quite slim. This has a bit of a curvy design to it, where it kind of tapers towards the edges to give it a slimmer look, just like you'd see on laptop designs

 If you like little to none resistance and not much clickiness and dont mind the grayish color. Its a good buy. The quality is good the red attachment keys are quite neat.

Compared to the Alt Control And Enter, the Tokyo 60 does have south-facing 5-pin switches, but that's where the advantage stops. It's an integrated plate design and a keyboard that is just full of ping. It doesn't even come with any foam

Next, we just line it all up, screw in the case screws, and get to the best part to keep up the illusion of simple, I got this really nice set of white on black double shot Pbt keycaps and the cherry profile from Daviniki. The set is only 55 on sale for 50 at the time of writing this

 Now I don't like to admit it, but this took me way longer than it should have since this layout is so different. but I got there eventually. Since this is a top mount board, I just went ahead and threw the Pcb in. and since we're here, I'll just throw in the switches too

 Next, we just line it all up, screw in the case screws, and get to the best part to keep up the illusion of simple, I got this really nice set of white on black double shot Pbt keycaps and the cherry profile from Daviniki. The set is only 55 on sale for 50 at the time of writing this. It has amazing kidding and the legends are very crisp. Some of the modifiers have some slight wonkiness, but I only really notice it when I really, really look for it

Tokyo60 // Worth the Money?

The legends on these keycaps are thin, but very sharp, so not too bad.  The black dye sub on the other hand is pretty inconsistent and splotchy. Quality and thickness seem fine.
