I started at Camp Gladiator boot camp in January, and many of the camps are outdoors, on concrete, which was killing my tail bone doing core workouts on my super thin yoga mat. I decided quickly that I needed something thicker and heavier duty to hold up to my new workout regime, but I wasn't up for spending $45+ on the mats sold by the boot camp. I searched and searched and read tons of reviews before settling on this HemingWeigh Extra Thick Foam Exercise Mat. Mine has been used at least 3-4x a week since purchase so far

 I was hoping for a slightly more durable mat, but I am hoping this one gets me through for a few months at least.

 I keep a towel around to lay over my workout mat when I need extra grip. I don't like the feel of a textured surface when I'm doing the ab workout though so I'm glad to be able to throw a towel on if I need to keep my foot from slipping during yoga and tag it off when I'm doing pushups or an ab routine.  Also, please note, I cannot speak to durability yet. I'll try to update after I've abused it for a few months

I use the mat on solid concrete but it is insulating and I don't feel any painful stress points when doing sit-ups, yoga, and other strength building exercises

  My only complaint (the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is the mat is only 70 inches. I knew this when I bought it, but it sure would be nice if they made it at least 72. None of my exercises have me laying on the full mat so I don't end up hanging off the end. The closest are a couple of leg lift stomach work outs that leave me feet off the end of the mat, but I'm holding them up off the ground so it wasn't a problem for that

3 kilos and it's made of natural rubber. It has this really grippy texture and yeah. I'Ve never ever split down this mat and i've had super cheap mats in the past. You know just random maths, some i got used to let's say five euros on craigslist and others

 Can you see that i'm not sure if it shows up on camera but there's a grease stain on this mat yeah? You can definitely see it and bear in mind. I i've cleaned this one every single time after practice and yet there's a grease stain - and i don't have this with the black one see this is, i think, where my head would be, and there is nothing there's, no grease stain whatsoever. So when it comes to colors, i would definitely shoot for a darker color. If you have a very intense practice, because you may risk grease stains and like i said, i've cleaned it every single time after i practiced and at some point there was just this stain that i couldn't get rid of, and i've tried a lot and it doesn't Really matter because of course it's a freaking yoga mat, it's a yoga mat that i use for very intense practice and so yeah they're sustained, so be it

 I have had mats in the past, where literally chunks of the mat would just come off, and that's not the case for these mats now with manduka. It'S important to know that they do have the pro-mats and with the pro-mites you actually get a lifetime guarantee. You don't get that with these mats.  So my practice is pretty intense, so this is gon na be a review based on that kind of intensity of practice. Of course, if you use a mat only once a month, it's gon na wear out a lot less, as opposed to using it six days a week for two hours three hours at a time. Manduka eKO SuperLite Yoga Mat Review | Pack Hacker

 After continuing to use it, I have days where it's great with no sliding and days where my hands are gliding forward in down dog. So who knows what's up with that? In my yoga class, I'm the only one who has experienced this with the ekolite, so maybe it's just me! Some pros: great texture and grip (for the most part), dense, pretty color options, good quality and can tell it will last a lifetime. Some cons: pretty strong rubber smell that takes awhile to dissolve. Some others commented it was unbearable, but I wasn't bothered too much

 That surprised me with it being a higher end brand. I don't notice anyone else's mat looking like this and they have had there's for years so maybe it's just the mat I ordered from this site versus manduka? Either way for the discounted price with some colors, you can't go wrong. I'm liking it more than any other mat I've tried so far! Also use the manduka rubber mat cleaner with it and like the convenience of not having to make it myself. It seems like the solution will last awhile too

  Other "non-slip" mats that I have tried from Gaim don't even compare.  And the smell?  C'mon, just let it air out .. we've had it three weeks and allowed it to constantly air out and the smell is almost gone

Sticky for me even when sweating

 But it's not a deal breaker as the mat functions really well and I think will hold up for a long time.
