HemingWeigh 1 inch thick vs BalanceFrom GoCloud 1″ Extra Thick

I started at Camp Gladiator boot camp in January, and many of the camps are outdoors, on concrete, which was killing my tail bone doing core workouts on my super thin yoga mat. I decided quickly that I needed something thicker and heavier duty to hold up to my new workout regime, but I wasn't up for spending $45+ on the mats sold by the boot camp. I searched and searched and read tons of reviews before settling on this HemingWeigh Extra Thick Foam Exercise Mat. Mine has been used at least 3-4x a week since purchase so far

What is so great about this mat is the thickness. I recently started yoga again and I am 63. My wood floors are too hard and most mats are too thin. This mat thankfully has enough cushion so I do not feel the hard floor while exercising

I expected this mat to be a similar texture but slightly thicker than my old one. The material is much softer though. I want to say that again because it was not something I picked up on in any of the reviews I read. The material is extremely soft

I got this mat for doing my physical therapy exercises on my hardwood floor and have used it about maybe 6 or 7 times so far, a few on a carpet when I took it on vacation to a home with carpets, and rolled it back up like 3 or 4 times. When rolling it up while wearing a bracelet I've damaged the bottom side by the material getting caught in a few places on my bracelet, but when you stand on it in hiking boots it just leaves a mild, temporary indentation, which I've photographed but then goes away. It doesn't damage it to wear shoes on it as long as you're reasonably careful - I have major foot issues and need to wear my shoes all the time to prevent much worse chronic foot pain, and it's not been a problem to use my shoes in my physical therapy exercises like lying on my back with my knees up and my feet flat on the matt. The only thing that won't go away is if you rip/tear the material, and I do tend to be hard on my stuff so mine has a number of small rips in it now because of things like the bracelet and not being careful enough with it
