This review is for: KitchenAid 5-Speed Ultra Power Hand Mixer, Empire Red I got this well over a year ago. It's really handy, easy to use. Powerful enough for most jobs when I don't want to drag out the heavy, brute -- the venerable Kitchen Aid stand mixer! This one probably actually gets more usage than the stand mixer. It's nice quality

It does not come off of the stand easily and if you are not very careful when you attach it to the stand it will fall off. I would not recommend or purchase again.

This mixer is for things like cake batter, frosting, gravy, and bearnaise sauce. My primary use for it is diy lotions and creams, and it is perfect for those. I did a lot of shopping for my hand mixer. My top priority was blades that wouldn't rust or flake chrome off them and that could be washed in the dishwasher

That said, it is very light weight and easier to store than the expensive mixers since the mixer can be unattached from the stand. It gets the mixing done without making the mess that handhelds make. Overall, it works good at a bargain price.

Beaters are light weight and cheaply constructed. Flimsy, not sturdy like older mixers were constructed. May be adequate for light mixing jobs. Mixing bars are easily bent out of shape

I wondered if they could possibly do much of a job of mixing dough. Maybe so. Maybe not. But I can understand the restricted size being intended not to overtax the electric motor

On the positive side, the warming drawer is helpful but you can't put in anything too tall- and by tall, I mean a dish with a lot of food on it. The warming burner works really well and is a great feature. While I like this range and it looks beautiful, I would consider a different brand next time around. I'm sorry to be so critical, but customer reviews are important both to other consumers and the company
