This one has an on/off toggle switch and then you have to press the up or down button to change speeds. I guess it is just too high-tech for me but I just prefer the old fashioned up and down slide for the speeds. The mixer looks nice but I just miss my old mixer. :-(

It does not come off of the stand easily and if you are not very careful when you attach it to the stand it will fall off. I would not recommend or purchase again.

Just received my new hand mixer today! I was so darn disappointed that it DID NOT come with a STORAGE PLAN! Come on KITCHEN AID! Another handmixer with no storage bag/case or way to NOT LOSE/DAMAGE unit and accessories! No plan for storing the electrical cord either! Very CLEARLY, MANY customers share my disappointment! That said, it is very light weight and easier to store than the expensive mixers since the mixer can be unattached from the stand. It gets the mixing done without making the mess that handhelds make. Overall, it works good at a bargain price.

I wondered if they could possibly do much of a job of mixing dough. Maybe so. Maybe not. But I can understand the restricted size being intended not to overtax the electric motor

On the positive side, the warming drawer is helpful but you can't put in anything too tall- and by tall, I mean a dish with a lot of food on it. The warming burner works really well and is a great feature. While I like this range and it looks beautiful, I would consider a different brand next time around. I'm sorry to be so critical, but customer reviews are important both to other consumers and the company
