not sure what happened since i've only used it for simple frosting and cake mixes, but by the time the issue arose, my Amazon warranty was expired. However KitchenAid still covered the situation. I was impressed at how quickly amazon customer service connected me to kitchenaid warranty dept, and i had a brand new mixer in my hands 2 days later with a prepaid return shipping label - all at no additional cost. Despite having an issue with the product, both amazon and kitchenaid were terrific at resolving it immediately

The silver case is plastic, not chrome (who can afford that anymore?) The cord is hard-wired and stiff so it manages to always be in my way. It is powerful and rather loud. The extras are consumer bait. I threw out the ridiculous plastic "case" which was difficult to fit on the mixer

Not as powerful as my older kitchenAid. The attachments aren't as good as the older models. I thought 9 speeds would give me more power. Not great for cookies or creaming cold butter

Some reviewers complained about speed (not slow enough). Slower speeds are obtained via different, more expensive torquing mechanisms and motors. You will need to upgrade for that. The weight of the mixer is not bad though some reviewers complained

I was more than a surprised, I was amazed! First time using it, WOW I now understood this 'New Age Hand Mixer' as it was the best Hand Mixer I'd ever used in my life and oh so easy to clean, and better yet no loss of batter! The old-fashion hand mixtures I previously owned (from days gone by) was much harder to wash/clean as well as my having to lose some of the batter as the batter would 'stick' to the wider blades & grove. Also taking into account the fact that you'd have to 'manually dial up or down w/only 30-Speed (Low, Med & high) which never really worked as All 3-Speeds were quite high, splashing all over the place w/me practically having to wrap my one hand and forearm to keep splashes from going all over the place. This KitchenAid hand mixer w/much thinner blades is fantastic and once you hit Off it automatically stops, and then when you turn it on it starts as a nice controlled 'slow' speed which you simple press the Up Icon to increase the speed w/out any hassels. I can't believe I resisted trying this newer KitchenAid mixers for so long (foolish on my part) but I guess I just didn't believe the thin blades would really mix the batters well (it's better than fantastic) and I absolutely Love it! I bought the Empire Red color as 'Red' is my happy color and it's absolutely a true (blue/red) color… and not an orange/red color

I used to have a cheap Proctor hand mixer I bought at Walmart but the motor burnt out. It's an okay product, its just too heavy. Also I through out the additional storage piece. It was pretty useless to me

It's big and heavy. So when I was thinking about what I might want for Christmas this year, I decided a hand mixer. Then I started to research hand mixers and ended up choosing this one. I really like it

I like the Hamilton Beach line of hand mixers since they are cheap, and, from my experience with my housemate's hand mixer, they can stand up well to light/medium mixing jobs (about 3 years so far). I especially like the snap-on case in which to store all the attachments. I had the opportunity to get one of the name brand Kitchen Aid / Cuisinart hand mixers earlier this year, but I had gotten so used to the practicality of the attached storage case that I passed on buying the name brand ones.

It was applied crooked, but I'm afraid I will tear it up if I try to correct it. My previous Kitchen Aid had a sturdy, bendable metal for the banner and the appliance seemed to be built out of sturdier plastic. The overall new appliance seems to be covered with a lighter plastic. Since this is the way appliances and everything else is made now, I don't have any recourse in a hand-held mixer in this price range

It will probably even do dough well as long as you can hold the bowl and this huge mixer at the same time.

On the positive side, the warming drawer is helpful but you can't put in anything too tall- and by tall, I mean a dish with a lot of food on it. The warming burner works really well and is a great feature. While I like this range and it looks beautiful, I would consider a different brand next time around. I'm sorry to be so critical, but customer reviews are important both to other consumers and the company
