This waffle marker is great and easy to use! The book comes with helpful tips and delicious recipes my only complaint is; is that the handle get REALLY HOT so if you buy this be carful! Otherwise I would give it 5 stars all around!

) One could turn the waffle around and cook it for an extra minute or two, but it would be better if the heating elements were designed a little better so it was even.

I had it replaced under warranty, which was nice, but now the replacement waffle maker is doing the same thing. There seems to be a design defect with this waffle maker that causes the beeper to go bad, probably due to moisture from the steam.

Well, concerning as far as poor waffles can concern a man. It'd be like having a cast-iron pan that decided to go cold in the middle of cooking before heating up again. That simply wouldn't do.

The best thing we found to do is make the waffles, freeze them and then when we want one put them in the toaster oven for a few minutes. AND finally..

*Iffy lights - is it ready? Maybe? Do the settings on the knob matter? Maybe? Basically, you just have to experiment and see, and then do that again with any different batter. So, it's nice the plates are removable. Might want to glue or duct tape that handle. And keep an eye on your waffles, don't look at the lights

This waffle iron does what it's supposed to do but we bought it specifically because of the removable Dishwasher safe grid plates. Tired of scraping waffle bits and overflow out of the crevices of our old maker, this was supposed to offer the easy cleanup we were dreaming of. We make waffles just about every other Saturday morning and have had this maker for 8 months and the plates are oxidizing or something. I used Pam spray prior to cooking and had no sticking issues. The removable grates are interchangeable, so no worries about which goes where. Cleaning them requires popping them out and putting them in the dishwasher, or clean by hand if you prefer. All in all I recommend this with no reservation

The bad reviews for this product are from idiots that either don't know how to take care of their things or just like to complain. Don't use oil, butter or cooking spray like some of these Dolts have, turn it on, let it heat, pour 1 1/4 cup of waffle batter in the center and close. Make sure the setting is at 4 1/2 for darkness. When it beeps, it's ready, it will not stick

To get a even cook, we need to flip the waffle over and rotate front to back. Once flipped around and waiting the average of 4 1/2 minutes per waffle to cook, the waffles are really good. They have nice deep grooves that give the waffle an awesome texture and are great to fill with butter and syrup or fruit and cream. Once we figured out how to get an even cook, my family all love the waffles that this iron produces

Also, the "alarm" on mine doesn't work. However, it does make a great waffle if you have a good batter recipe and learn how to time it. The recipe that came with it is OK, but I found a much better one from King Arthur Flour. After experimentation, I found my ideal time approximately twice what is stated

Pretty much every black part you see on this is thin, chintzy plastic which flexes way too much even when brand new. I doubt it will go through too many heat/cooling cycles before warping and ultimately cracking. And though the plates come out for easy cleaning, there are tons of little nooks and crevices for batter to flow into and crud buildup, and so it is not easy to clean as advertised. Also the smooth glossy plastic is going to look awful after a few cleanings when swirl marks start to show

This waffle iron feels flimsy and not well made, as evidenced by the malfunctioning alarm sound. I give it 2 stars because I like the depth and size of the waffles it makes and it is convenient to be able to remove the pans in order to wash them.

The waffle iron is too small for the batter I used. Usually make a batch for two waffles with my other waffle maker and it worked fine. This one overflowed twice, and when I tried to use less batter, it was not filling up in all areas, and was too thin of a waffle. Had to leave it in longer, and noticed one side burned both times

I had over a year and nine months to make the decision in purchasing a brand new waffle maker, so I decided to make the purchase on Amazon.com. At first glance I thought the Krups Belgium Waffle Maker would be about the size of 8 inch cooking pan. In reality the waffle maker is more like 12 inches long and some what bulky for my kitchenette

Many waffle makers i have owned provide a bell or other noise which is a nice feature. Product feels very cheaply made and the final issue i had with this was that the handle got stuck when i went to flip the waffle maker back when the waffle was ready. If this was a $20 - $25 product, it would be a good machine at that price point, but it is incredibly overpriced at $45.

I would NOT recommend this waffle maker at all, especially given the price. A basic intro waffle maker would be a better value. I don’t make waffles too often so it’s not that big of a deal, but I’m still bummed about my decision to buy this waffle maker because I’m never excited to eat the waffles from this machine.
