This backpack is so spacious! I have primarily been using it for hiking/camping and climbing. It can fit all the gear I need and then some. It's very durable and seems like it would hold up well in rainy/wet conditions.

The 18 inches is real and can easily be squished down an inch or so if your airline is really picky. My 15.6 laptop in its case fits easily. And as a bonus, it is a really good about town bag with a decent harness design, nice top packet, compression straps

I just wish the laptop sleeve area was a bit bigger. I had to squeeeezeeee my 13 in. laptop in. Snug, but it fit!

I needed a new backpack for school, I hadn't bought one in almost 5 years so I've been waiting and waiting to find the perfect one. This is definitely it! It's perfectly fits my laptop and books without being too clunky or heavy. I was worried about the size being a little too small but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it's a really great size! I'm happy I found this on sale, since Patagonia is usually so expensive.

Zippers easy to use. Easy to slip on/off when needed, no wrestling with your straps and arms. The back has a slight frame which is nice, I think it adds to comfort. Very, very comfortable, wore for 4 hrs straight, and no discomfort

It’s lightweight and the perfect size for a quick hike or all day excursion. The hip straps are key and the hydration bladder it comes with is great quality (I’ve had ones in the past that leak or the mouthpiece is hard to drink from). The magnet doesn’t hold the mouthpiece in place but I don’t mind it too much.
