 So i thought i would go over the features today and just give a quick review because i've been using it for about three months now, so i have a pretty good sense for how the pack is so. First of all, the pack is an 18 liter day pack, it retails for about 109 right now, that's the price that i've seen it available online. I think you know at certain periods you can probably get it for less than 100, but that's the current retail price for it. It'S made primarily of a 200 d nylon rip, stop nylon, so a relatively sturdy pack uh, not ultra light, but definitely light enough for day hiking

 One of the first things that really attracted me to this was the exterior pocket that you see right here. It has a little cinch that you can tighten it up with or you can simply unclip it for easy access, and i keep a uh patagonia houdini. Just light wind jacket in there for easy access when i'm hiking so really easy to put something down in here. First aid kit: you know jacket rain gear, you know something like that and the pack will hold it very securely

 That maybe gives me a little bit more room to carry extra clothes. But for my day-to-day, like hiking needs when i'm going solo or just with a friend and we're both carrying our own stuff, this pack is absolutely fantastic. It is super high quality. It fits really well allows for tremendous adjustability and i just really strongly recommend it

 It has the ability to actually adjust here, so you have a couple of different measurements where you can adjust basically the height of these back straps. I keep it on the middle setting, but there's a higher setting and then a lower setting down below. So this kind of adjustability is really really nice and then finally - and this is really great for just a day pack - it does have your load lifter straps here, so you can really cinch. Those down helps get the load off of your

The Gregory Miwok 18 Backpack Review

 This pack is obviously designed specifically for fat men because the absolute min waist size is about 38".

I have a 44" chest and a 34" waist. Unlike most men, my chest is significantly larger than my waist. I bought this pack because my upper back, chest, and shoulders are much larger than those of most men. I've tried every other pack that's found in an REI store, and they're too tight in the shoulders

 Now, as far as we'll talk about, let's talk about the straps first of all in the pockets, you know: everything's very flexible, you've got nice mesh. So it's very soft. It'S padded, which is great and it gives it some kind of air flow. So that's nice now! This is what really, I think, really did it for me

 This just comes off like this boy. It'S we've got a lot of mosquitoes out here at night, and then this attaches right here to the strap down here and then you're good to go. So you can easily use this bungee here for locking your poles in place for the water bottles. You'Ve got the the nice big pockets, they are like a mesh material, very flexible, which is great and then here, if you need to have extra protection, so your water bottle doesn't fall out

 Seven seven pounds perfect fit for me. So let's go ahead and take it off and dive in a little deeper. So you could see a few things, so, first of all, you could see you can easily carry your hiking poles. So it's got this bungee, which you take off

 Going to the back panel. You have a nice patch back panel right here with padded shoulder straps not too thick and very well contoured towards your back and you have an adjustable sternum strap that uses the tubular design instead of the strap design. you have waist belt right here and the cool thing about this is if you're gonna have a waist belt, you might as well have pockets on them as well. So Gregory was cool with that

 and if I open, this is like a half zip, half panel zip and then when you open it on the flap side, there is a zippered mesh pocket, the main pocket itself and then also here is the little hydration bladder pocket, but you can also use it for extra storage. As I said before, so yeah, that's nice. I Really like this bag I Like the fact that it is so ergonomic when you put it on, it feels I don't know how to explain it. It just feels great

Thank you to Young's backpack and post in this. what you're looking at here is the Gregory Miwok 18 Put the names aside I know Gregory names a lot of their stuff, these weird names but all of their gear is really high-quality and they put a lot of thought into the design. What's cool about the Mean Walk is it uses what's called the bio sync system and basically they've engineered the bag so that it's ergonomic towards how your body moves when you're wearing

 I Really like this bag I Like the fact that it is so ergonomic when you put it on, it feels I don't know how to explain it. It just feels great. It doesn't feel blocky like some bags if you look. It has a lot of round lines and it organically contours towards your body

 I keep all the weight on my hips to try to keep it off my back as much as possible. Also, I don't like the water bottle pockets on any of these. I find it very hard to access. I have to take of a strap and move the back around so I can get the bottle and put it back

 Also, the old Sonoma had a double zippier on almost every pocket, this one has that for the main compartment only. I like the double zipper approach. It's faster and more efficient for getting to your stuff and closing.

 Obviously it is hydration compatible. so see with the fast-paced hike up or you know TRO run a remodel as I say cyclist. it's really easy to put your bladder in and put your batter out. It is quite literally pull that in, pop it in, do it up

Hi guys and welcome to Simply Hike Today We're going to be taking a look at the Gregory mile walk 18 litre rucksack so let me get it off the wall here for you. First thing that you'll notice is of seat. nice and small and nice and lightweight. It's about a lot of nice rip stop material which in some errors have actually been double stitched as well

 So as I say for the fast-paced hike, our fast-paced Rail Runner This is going to be really good for breathability factor, but yet you're not getting the hardcore arches that you get in some of the rock sites or you also notice on the top part there it's attached manually should we say - the top part. But you do have this stretch now. Basically, this is to give the bag that little bit more movement. So when it comes to running, cycling, one hand of that, the Gregory you know understood that there's going to be a lot of movement in the shoulder, so they've just added that little bit of stretch

 and let's talk about the back panel. So this one here. I Would to be fair say this is your secured pocket so as you probably saw the black liner in the main section. so this basically just is the top part of the back

 If I'm doing a serious dayhike, this is the bag I'm taking. It's one of those that you forget you're wearing.

Gray Patagonia Black Hole Cube (6L). My main toiletry bag, which I pretty much live out of.

Black/topo print Kavu Rope Sling. I LOVE this little guy. I can fit my 1L water bottle or my mirrorless camera in here, which makes it a great roadtripping/adventure buddy.

Green Kelty Redwing (44L). This is my wilderness backpack. I switched from a 50L Osprey and like this one WAY more. It's light, very comfy to wear when loaded up, unzips super wide, and has great organization

Sharing my silly bag problem with my fellow addicts. I gathered up all of my various bags and pouches, and it made me realize how ridiculous things have gotten. Might be time to downsize my collection. Sharing a few of my favorites and will add a full list in the comments.

This backpack is so spacious! I have primarily been using it for hiking/camping and climbing. It can fit all the gear I need and then some. It's very durable and seems like it would hold up well in rainy/wet conditions.

The rest of the main compartment is a top load bottomless pit, so use those packing cubes people! The interior lining color differs from pack to pack depending on the exterior color you choose. However, Patagonia made sure to use different color exterior and interior colors, which we found really helpful when searching for gear inside the pack.

 We typically have it tightly bucked against the pack, utilizing the provided elastic keepers to keep the straps from dangling. It would be nice to have the option to remove this since we have chosen not to use it majority of the time. Also, keep a close eye on your elastic keepers, as one of ours fell off during our travels which was a bit sad. Luckily, when we reached out anonymously, Patagonia was super helpful and sent us a free replacement in a very timely manner

And last but not least, Patagonia uses Human Curve® shoulder straps and we’ve never had an issue with them the several years we’ve used the pack. They’re made to conform ergonomically to your shoulders and upper chest for added comfort with any carry, with a perfect amount of padding.
