 the pack that I'm using now it's pretty tight like that so I could keep things in there like when I'm in the city and not worry about things getting stolen and when I'm hiking like my water bottle states but this one if you hiker and you run with it at all, you get a lot of Shake in there. but I can fit two smart water bottles. you can also fit the one and a half liter smart water bottles which is my biggest improvement they should make. [Music] storage on the straps I know I'm going to ask so I just made these at home got this storage for a match I have a closed cell foam in there right now just a nice pinch sleeping pad

 and so far the the 3000 miles and I hiked to this bag I had very little complaint and the things that I didn't like I need to modify for the price I think it's an awesome pack. You're not going to find anything else that compares to this. For that price range, you're going to be spending at least $60 more to get a burn or a pa'lante or any of the other pack. They didn't pay me to make this video anything but I did reach out to them and asked for a coat for you guys to save a little bit of money if you want to buy it Limor 15 and that says you think 50% of make sense and that'll bring the price down like 25 bucks

This is the Gossamer Yakumo. It's a backpack that I used on the Pacific Crest Trail through night and then on the first half of the Appalachian Trail again this year. So the pack itself is pretty simple. Got the main body to water bottle pockets on the mesh pocket on the back or shoulder straps and it had a hip belt with pockets on them

Just the right size for me… as a cancer survivor, I’ve lost a lot of weight and strength. So I am trying to keep my pack as light as possible.  You can always hang something to it, stretchy sternum strap and on the sternum strap buckle. Emergency whistle just in case. Never know, I've never needed one. but yeah, there it is

 As I said, water, bottle pockets or whatever. I carry my water filter in this one and something else or twin water bottle holders and just use my water bottles up front. as I said, emergency whistle right here if I need it and this is the pack sits up pretty high so it sits right on the hip, Big enough for what I need, small enough for what I need, and I don't need to carry extra weight. So I think their tagline is take Less do More So really means a lot

 Plenty of room for me for you know, a week. At least I may take this on the Jmt. I'm still kind of contemplating, but I do have a bear canister that I'm bringing as well. That's about the size of this pack, so I'm not sure if I'm going to be bringing that and this pack

 Twin side stretchy pockets, sides lashings on both sides. Moving on to the back panel, just move the shoulder straps out of the way. It has a sit pad built in so you can take this out. This is the back panel

 These shoulder strap pads are. They're fairly poufy. I'd say fairly poufy. they're pretty

 While the backpack is on, You're still able to get your hand back in here so you can put stuff in here. So maybe you know if you start the morning with your puppy on, you can actually take it off and throw it in this back pocket without exiting the backpack off. or a rain jacket. or if you're in snow, maybe you put your micro spikes here

 This is just nice to have one compartmentalize place in your backpack to put small things that you might need on a regular basis, and it just provides a little bit more accessibility to the backpack. I really, really like this. I Keep either some emergency water purification, my headlamp, sunscreen, some other things, maybe some maps that might be needed throughout the day. Things like that can go in this top pocket and it just helps me stay a little bit more organized

 One of the things I really like about this back pocket is the bottom is made of 100 denier nylon which is really useful for long hikes because a lot of times this part of the pack when you set it down it gets the brunt of the pack. and also if you ever lay against it like on the ground or something, this part of the pack is often against the ground so this protects the back pocket from a lot of holes. The other thing that is uniquely Gossamer gear is the slanted back. A lot of backpackers have pointed this out and it is super nice is because it's slanted on this side here

  Really folks, can you make things a bit more adjustable.  I mean this pack has a rain cover, and lot of space for a 22 L bag and nice features. Just not fitting us women that are a bit fully around the middle.

Nice pack if you are short or Small

 The weight in the bag helped me to make my decision on my purchase. This bag fit me like a glove. The trampoline back and straps are so comfortable. 

Great size for a day on the trail!

 Compared to my other two packs, this one's straps are extremely rough and uncomfortable, as well. I think maybe it's just not a fit for me, I'll be returning this one.

 The torso is too short, even with the straps adjusted to their highest point -- for a comfortable fit of the straps on my shoulders the hip belt sits in the middle of my waist! I agree with another reviewer that the magnetic chest strap/combination hydration magnet is not good in practice either. The magnetic enclosure is very awkward to use compared to a standard clasp. Compared to my other two packs, this one's straps are extremely rough and uncomfortable, as well. I think maybe it's just not a fit for me, I'll be returning this one
