  I bought a few of these boards because I love the layout and it's a passion project from the owner. I was super careful with my first board and I was able to ruin it, getting support directly from the owner was awesome. He can only point out things I can try, a lot it requires a digital multi-meter and understanding schematics of the PCB and pinouts of the MCU, IC, and the diodes.  I would personally pick up a few IoT soldering kits to practice on first and maybe a cheapo keyboard to practice desoldering on
