This is actually the worst part about getting into /r/mechanicalkeyboards. 

You are starting by entering and asking for help about choosing a mechanical keyboard. You think about a Leopold or Varmilo. $150 is a lot for a keyboard. But hey, you only buy it once and it will stay for years with you. No way you spend more than $150 for it. Some people tell you these are great boards but you should think about a custom kit. A custom kit? Whats that? Now you are surfing around kdbfans and there are some cool custom kits like a kdb75. $180 for a kit without switches and caps? Well its only a little bit more than $150 right. You can buy some cheap $30 keycaps there and some mx switches. Now you are at $250. Its fine, its the one keyboard you always wanted. You ordered it. 

2 days later there is a new top post on /r/mechanicalkeyboards. Wow that board looks nice. It looks amazing. Ewhite color, cool layout. Great colors of the keycaps. Everything matches perfectly. Lets google the board. Sold out. GB run 1 year ago. /r/mm prices are at $1k+. No problem, you dont need it. You can use the same keycaps on your new kdb75 and its fine too. Its GMK Bento. You google it. $450+. Its okay. You dont need it.

Few months later you received your GMK 8008. At the same time you are waiting for GMK Dracula, you hope you will get it before 2025. The 2 types of first builds

It looks great, the only issue is RGB lights will shine through the white key caps. I also had one key that is slightly a different size than the rest but it’s not a big deal. For the price, it’s pretty good.

Good quality for the price.

The keycaps are fine. Only part is that 4 keycaps were missing (G key, #7, #8, and the extra 1.25u fish key). Besides some keys were missing, the keycaps feel great
