 Who makes such dreamily beautiful colors as Gloria Vanderbilt? Probably no other factory. The Riviera blue---a lovely medium blue, a bit softer than cornflower The Plum color---rich, gem toned, gorgeous and well described as plum, less well described as burgundy (which I think of as having more red and less purple. The ones here are not purple yet not burgundy, but just plum, ie a red with a fair amount of blue or purple in it). Sumptious! The Celestial Blue: Very well described, a light sky blue

before, not after, I even wore it once! I am disappointed but going to keep these jeans. I must say though, that I will have to make every point of a) grabbing them out of the washer immediately when it stops b) hang them up to dry, do not use the drier c) smooth them out by hand before drying d) press them under a damp towel to preserve the colors. If you can't do all of that, then these jeans are not for you. I also wrote the Gloria Vanderbilt factory and so far, I have not yet heard back from them, regarding how to take care of these fabrics

 For me, I can't stand spandex. I find it doesn't breathe and I cant' stand the way it feels. But it is in all jeans these days and very hard to get away from. I surely can understand that people love the stretch of it

 These jeans are stylish, beautiful, inexpensive and hence I will keep them but beware of the defects. They may not last as long as the Gloria Vanderbilts of recently passed years.

 They have 2% spandex for a bit of stretch.  I worried that they would stretch out and get baggy, but they never did.  They held in my tummy and gave my butt decent shape all day long! No sagging elephant legs! Yay! I only wish they were softer.  Maybe with repeat washing they'll improve

 They fit! The black was same fabric blend but made in different country. At any rate, finally got black jeans that fit, JCP customer service people and policies are wonderful, no fuss, no problem.

 The blue jeans fit as usual for me, but the black were very tight, too tight to wear, not a 4P. Called JCP customer service, very nice helpful gentleman sent a return label and I reordered, thinking the black pr were mislabeled. Second pr came, but fit was the same, way too tight. Had to bother cs again, got return label and reordered, only this time size 6P(I really wanted those black jeans!)

Loved the jeans the way they used to be, before wider waists and tighter legs.

These jeans are suited for me - ~~~ higher waist - don't like it when they are below the natural waist line ~~~ straight legs - don't like the skinny or wide leg pant. I don't have trouble finding Gloria/Amanda in petite but always watch for the sales.

 I ordered a 14 petite( the same size as my other GV jeans), they fit well, but the length was too long. I inquired if GV had a petite short, but they did not. The jeans were a real value, but, unfortunately, I'll most likely make up the saving in paid alterations. Gloria Vanderbilt may wish to consider making petite short length

I need them to stretch just a smidge in the rise and a smidge in the waist, and then they'll be a perfect fit.  (And they will, actually they already stretched a bit while I was taking pictures and I could probably button them with some effort now if I wanted to, but I will wear them a bit first.) 

This is definitely going into my category of "men's jeans that fit women better than women's jeans" because check out that thigh/waist ratio in the measurements!! (in the last picture). When I saw the measurements especially the thigh/waist ratio, I knew it would work for me and I was not disappointed.  I don't know of any other jeans that have thighs this roomy when I size to fit my waist, and it's perfect as far as I can tell.

I guess it's probably unusual to hear "perfect fit" if they don't button yet, but to me that is a perfect fit for one-wash jeans because I hate a waistband that feels too big after stretching.

These are my absolute favorite selvedge jeans, and they're only $50

 However, the fabric used for different colors does feel very different. None felt like proper denim, but I assume that is just how stretch fabric feels. I ordered my usual size in jeans, and they started out a little tight, but have loosened up.  Panda: Light-Medium wash blue

 They are greener than other websites show, but bluer than Amazon shows. It looks like the fabrics has blue thread layered over a more green color, and it seems like cameras just have a hard time capturing how the fabric looks in person. I've included a close up picture that is more accurate to real life. I initially thought they were a little too green, but the color has grown on me

I've bought Panda, Myers Crescent, and Rinsed Playa. So far I have had no issues with fit, aside from the inseams being a tiny bit inconsistent. However, the fabric used for different colors does feel very different. None felt like proper denim, but I assume that is just how stretch fabric feels

 The fabric on these was also the thinnest by far. Very comfortable, but so thin that it doesn't feel like denim at all. Also, if you plan on cuffing the jeans, be aware that the color on the inside is quite strange.
