Best Ski Helmets of 2022 - GearLab

I will return the Ratio because the ‘larger’ shell and weight just aren’t as attractive as the Union model...( my Smith googles fit both models well)

 Paid $99 each and I think the Union is typically in the $160 range but priced at $99..I will return the Ratio because the ‘larger’ shell and weight just aren’t as attractive as the Union model.

 Bigger shell and its heavier ..quite a bit heavier. With a large XL sized head the Ratio just looked oddly large

Helmet is ‘larger and heavier’ than others

It fits well with the goggles but the helmet is notably heavier than my previous gyro helmet even without skull candy earphones installed.

Heavier and bulkier than the older gyro gear.

Tested. This works well against trees the snow and other skiers! I've had a few times I would have been severely injured if it wasn't for this helmet.

 Okay, so I've just had a chance to ride the Head Rev 70 and it's a great all-mountain sort of entry-level beginner's ski. It's got a 70mm waist which means it's going to be nice and easy to turn, really easy to move if you're just getting into skiing and you want something that's going to feel great. This is a really nice choice. It's got a soft medium flex so it's not going to absolutely kick your arse if you haven't got your technique dialed completely perfectly yet

 It's not going to be the best for a really advanced powerful skier or if someone looking for a lot of powder riding because the waist is just a little bit too narrow for that and it's a little bit too soft for advanced riders. But for everybody else who likes to ride the whole mountain, dive in powder a tiny bit but mainly stick to the piece, can't go much wrong with the Head Rev 78.
