 It leaves this gorgeous very feminine beautiful alluring trail and then as far as when to wear this it's recommended for fall and winter so this is a great transition into that season however it also makes an amazing signature scent. So if you're one of those types of people that enjoy that more jammy with the rose in there that you just love wearing year-round this is the perfect fragrance for you. So there you have my review on C Intense by Giorgio Armani. I would love to know are there any fragrances that you would like me to do a two-minute review of?  As far as the projection it is definitely past an arm's length for the first 45 minutes to an hour and then it does get a little closer to the body. This definitely is not a skin scent so people are going to be able to smell this especially if they're walking by you or you walk by them. It leaves this gorgeous very feminine beautiful alluring trail and then as far as when to wear this it's recommended for fall and winter so this is a great transition into that season however it also makes an amazing signature scent. So that combination alone makes this fragrance very sexy, very intoxicating and it smells absolutely incredible. Performance wise this is doing a really nice job on my skin which tends to be a little drier. Now everybody's skin is different but this lasts about six plus hours on my skin and I well notice this fragrance the next day on my clothes so it really does hang on to your clothes and has some great staying power

 It's a little bit different than the original. Now they both have the same DNA but this one is a little bit more potent should I say and it lasts a little bit longer. Now you're going to notice when you first spray this in this one you're getting this gorgeous black current and it's a very jammy very sweet black current that mixes beautifully with asparta rose as well as divana and then you also have some benzoin resin in here as well as patchouli essence and vanilla absolute.  And then drizzling that on top of woods, patchouli, and you also get this gorgeous earthy spice in here too. And I love this scent. As I said earlier, it is quite heavy. So if you're going to wear this in the summer, you probably want to go easy on the sprays

 But then it seemed like as time passed and as it sits on my skin, it gets even stronger. There's a patchouli in here and it also gives some weight to this. It gives some earthiness to the scent. It is quite a heavy scent

 I also pick up on some woods in this fragrance and a little bit of spiciness. So basically in a nutshell, this perfume Armani C Intense is syrupy, mashed up different berries, mostly black currant, raspberry, maybe some strawberry in here as well. And then drizzling that on top of woods, patchouli, and you also get this gorgeous earthy spice in here too. And I love this scent

 Now blackcurrant syrup, how delicious does that sound? And then it has Turkish Rose and Davana. Now I didn't know what Davana was but apparently Davana is like a herb that kind of has a sweet tea smell to it. So that sounds absolutely gorgeous. And then in the base this has patchouli and Benzene

 I think it's a beautiful perfume. I think Armani did a really good job on it. I know they did already have an intense version of C which I think has been since discontinued. It was in a black bottle

 But you know I definitely think this is worth it. I really do like it. From what I can remember I prefer this to the original C. This is really addictive smelling

 There's just something about it. It has a sort of cozy ambiance about it, that spiciness, that subtle smokiness, the woodiness, that peppery, spicy cardamom quality. It's definitely cozy smelling, so I personally do enjoy wearing it casually, and my wife wears it 10 times more than I do, but even then, I love smelling it on her, even when we're running errands or just performing casual tasks. I think this one is perfectly unisex

 My final verdict on this fragrance is it is one of the best in class, most iconic fragrances on the market, no doubt about that. Everybody knows Santel 33. If you don't know about it, you have probably been living under a rock, or you just don't have access to Le Labo fragrances where you live, and that's 100% forgivable. No knock there

LE LABO SANTAL 33 REVIEW! | MOST ICONIC NICHE FRAGRANCE?

My girl is otherwise very feminine, but this stuff wears surprisingly hot on her. Le Labo Santal 33: in her words, “in New York you either smell like or have f*cked someone who smells like Santal 33. And my ex didn’t wear Santal 33, so I had to take on the role” She doesnt wear it anymore because it’s too strong.

It’s ok. I wanted to see what the big hype was and why this is so expensive. I wasn’t thrilled at all but it does smell good if you like woodsy smells. I’d give it a three outta 5!

Hello Redditors of r/fragrance! Allow me to share my review with regards to Le Labo Santal 33.

Not exactly the same, but this is what finding Le Labo's Santal 33 was for me. Before moving to NYC, my SO and I had been making a lot of short trips there around 2018. Every time we went, I would smell this mystery scent everywhere.

I was in a bookstore one day, and a lady walked past me and smelled *amazing* so I had to ask her what perfume she had on. She told me it was Bvlgari Jasmin Noir, the old formulation, not the new Splendida version. I was pretty surprised because it is the signature of a friend of mine, and didn't smell like her. Regardless it was incredible and I became obsessed. 

I found a bottle online and then another back up, but I knew this couldn't last forever. When there is a finite amount of a perfume in the world it's a dangerous game falling in love with it. I even got the Splendida version to see if it was similar *enough.* In a way it is, it is superficially the same perfume - but there's *something* missing. I could never put my finger on it. 

So I tried finding the perfect Jasmine perfume. After all - it's right there in the name, right? It's **jasmin** noir, so that must be what I liked, but I was finding the wrong combination, or the wrong type of jasmine. I tried Lush Lust, Alien, Solinotes Jasmin, Guerlain Jardins de Bagatelle... none of them were right. I certainly found perfume I liked on my search for the perfect Jasmine, but they didn't have this *thing* I couldn't put my finger on. 

I decided to try sampling perfumes by the same nose as JN. There are two: Carlos Benaim, and Sophie Labbe. Sophie was the nose behind the Splendida remake, so I thought perhaps the *thing* was the result of Carlos' input. In his portfolio I stumbled upon Mariah Carey M, which being quite cheap decided to blind buy and see if I liked it. 

This was it! The dry down was exactly the *thing* I was after! I couldn't work out what it was, so what I did was cross check the notes between M and JN and found they both have amber and patchouli in the base - exactly what Splendida does not have! Realising this I went through all my favourite perfumes and noticed that of my favourite 18 perfumes 9 featured amber and 7 featured patchouli. Now I know that these are both fairly common notes, especially patchouli these days, but I also noticed that 4 out of my top 6 "absolute favourite would instantly rebuy if my house burned down" perfumes contained *both* amber and patchouli!

Has anyone else had a breakthrough like this? What is your process? Has there ever been that ~elusive *thing* you're trying to find/replicate?

I had a breakthrough in discovering what I love!

For me, santal 33 is 100 worth the hype (and the price). I know everyone smelled like this a few years ago, and many still do, but I LOVE it (on me and my husband). It projects, lasts all day, and is unisex.

So, when I came across Le Labo in SoHo last year, O really couldn't get my head around the concept- I mean, how on gods green earth does one come up with what feels like a totally boutique and personalised concept, but then only allows you to pick from a seemingly limited range of scents- and the price?!!? Surely the one part of this process you would really like to personalise is the scent itself?
