Maybe my old microwave was just very bad, but this microwave cooks in almost half the time I used to cook.  I’m not as happy with the air fryer as I was with my old one, it doesn’t seem like enough room with a rack. Maybe I am using it wrong, I don’t know.  The controls are a little confusing for me, so I haven’t tried to use the convection oven yet

The consensus solution for this is to put the microwave on a silicone non-slip heat resistant mat

 I attached a picture on this review. The air clearance is nominally 3" to the left and right and above and 1" to the rear. <2" is very difficult to obtain given the thick heavy power cord goes straight out of the rear and needs more more than 1" just to connect to the power outlet (assuming its behind the oven).  I was concerned since I had 2" clearance to the left of the oven (up against a wall), but the customer service agent said it was no problem if there was sufficient air space to the right (I have 5")

It Does the Job

  - Noise Level (Cooking noise) - It does make noise like all microwaves do but the noise it makes is actually pretty quiet. Much more quiet than my old microwave.  The noise it makes is an odd buzzing noise when you turn it on to cook. At first i thought that buzzing noise it was making was a bad sign but that's just the noise it makes

 But i turned it back on just because i then realized i enjoy hearing the beep noise feedback.  - Child safety - There is a safety option, at first i thought if i activate it, it would prevent the door from opening but that's not how it works. If you activate it, you can still open the door. But the microwave won't function until you turn off the lock via the keypad

 Would be nice if it could save the time when not plugged in. Because if you accidentally unplug it, then you have to set the time again.  Summary: I haven't fully tested ALL the cooking features. But for basic everyday use of quickly heating / cooking things, it works well, cooks well

 Checked with Toshiba and it only has a one year warranty. Good basic microwave, but wish it was guaranteed to last longer than one year.
