 No matter what I do, I cannot seem to get the seal to close all the way around, which results in a great amount of frost inside the freezer. I discovered the problem within 24 hours of plugging the freezer in and found the issue to the be the seal along the bottom. For a while I thought I had the problem solved after pulling everything out, defrosting, and making sure the inside was completely dry, but within a matter of days the issue was back again. I'm putting up with this for the time being, but sooner or later I'm going to have to do something about the seal

 I brought it back in the house and let it sit unplugged for 24 hours to allow any bubbles in the coolant to dissipate. I then plugged it back in and 24 hours after that opened it to find it frost free except for a slight surface film which was probably due to moisture in the freezer when I closed it back up. Since that time (about 10 days) I've had food back in the freezer and it continues to remain frost free.  To sum it up, the freezer does work as it should, when it's put together properly

If I have a large freezer I will eventually fill it and half or more of it's contents will wind up waste, due to freezer burn and or simply AGE! The unit itself looks very nice. The lock is an Allen wrench type lock and probably can be compremised by an Allen wrench of equal size, so, I will be purchasing an after market lock as well, just to be safe

 Maybe the thermostat would control this? The temperature control dial has been set to the maximum, [6]. Also the compressor has rust spots in a few areas, and is hot to the touch. I wonder if Whynter is using a good quality compressor? Update: (about the compressor tends to stay on.) -If the thermostat dial is turned down lower, from the maxium [6], the compressor does not stay on continuously
