 It really proved itself by keeping me sheltered when temperatures dipped well into the negatives in Japan and I was stuck on a stopped chairlift for 45 minutes due to high winds. And my experience was similar on foul-weather days while touring: I stayed warm and cozy while skinning and descending without any moisture or wind creeping through the shell. When it comes time to batten down the hatches, the Quantum Pro comes well-equipped. First, the jacket’s seam taping has held up nicely with no delamination to date, and the premium YKK waterproof zippers are a quality touch that add a good dose of assurance against moisture seeping in

 The Sabre is fairly heavy for touring at 1 pound 8.7 ounces, expensive at $625 ($205 more than the Quantum Pro), and the inner liner detracts a bit from overall breathability, but it’s the best all-rounder currently on the market. If you’re looking for one ski jacket to do it all, we can’t recommend the Sabre AR enough.

That said, it’s the more comfortable option of the two with a soft and stretchy construction, trim fit, smooth integrated hand gaiters, and a fleece-like material at the front collar.    I could probably get away with a large but I like the added length and I also wanted layers.  doesn't feel too big.  I like a longer/taller fit in a jacket.   snow skirt works well plus there is a cinched

I am a telemark skier, so want to be able to dump that heat, and athletic.  I will go BC and skin later this winter and I know this shell will be perfect.  I like the layering as opposed to a jacket with a liner.  I think I can get an overall lighter set up with shell and lightweight puffy down vest/jacket

I love the style and the look, but this jacket just seemed like way too thin for me to use.  I wanted to keep, it but ultimately sent it back with the tags on.  It was so thin that it barely felt different than an ultralight rain jacket that I have.  Even the main zipper pockets just go straight to thin mesh

 So I've got the Heli Hansen Powder Queen jacket on here. So it's in a really nice purple color and got some really nice aluminum orange detail on it as well. It's got a great fit, it's really nice and fit at the waist for a woman's jacket but it has got all that fashion and the function as well. So it's waterproof, it's windproof and it's really breathable

 Now it's a fully insulated jacket, however it's not big and bulky, it can move very well in it. So it'll be nice and easy, it's a perfect jacket for when you're on the mountain for all day. And obviously we've got features on the wrist here but also we've got those little liners which go around our gloves to make sure we don't get any snow in there. One of the other features is this high neck here to keep you nice and warm when you're on the chairlift
