 We got the lower bar installed and we did put the chain on this just so we don't run out of mast when we're lifting weight up here. Also added some white lithium grease to the rail that this slides up and down on and that seems to be doing the trick, they do give you some oil with the kit. So let's go ahead and do a little test on the curl bar, I just want to see how smooth this actually moves, if you curl this up and down, it's actually really smooth. Chain makes a bit of noise but we can adjust that

We're back in the home gym and we're here to bring you a bit of an update on a previous video that we did when we installed and assembled the fitness reality power cage. So since then, we've added an Olympic bar and a quality bench. We've added a couple of an assist for doing squats

 So let's go ahead and do a little test on the curl bar, I just want to see how smooth this actually moves, if you curl this up and down, it's actually really smooth. Chain makes a bit of noise but we can adjust that. Another thing I'll point out is the pins on the back here are set up for 1 inch standard weights and we've got Olympic weights here but putting these Olympic weights on these pins they're actually quite steady, I don't have the clips on here that they give you. You can get adapters that increase this to 2 inch with sleeves but I think I'm going to leave this the way it is for now

Fitness Reality 810xlt Lat Pulldown upgrade & update

 We're back in the home gym and we're here to bring you a bit of an update on a previous

 video that we did when we installed and assembled the fitness reality power cage.

 So since then, we've added an Olympic bar and a quality bench.

 We've added a couple of an assist for doing squats.

 We've also added a heavy bag and some resistance bands.

 So the home gym is really coming along or really here to show you today is a nice attachment

 for this power cage and it's a lat pull down attachment also made by fitness reality.

 So as usual, this thing looks like it's looks like it's packed pretty well and gonna have

 to get my trusty knife out and get some of this packing out of the way.

 But yeah, we're gonna unbox this and what we're gonna do is we're gonna do an assembly

 We're gonna test out this attachment because this is supposed to be a real nice update

 to this power rack, it's gonna add more exercises for us and you know, with what's going on

 right now in the world and everybody spending time at home, we're really enjoying the home

 gym and we want to show you that you can do it on a budget, you don't have to spend thousands

 of dollars to get a quality piece of equipment for the house.

 So same as we saw in the in the previous video, we built the power cage.

 Everything comes packed really well, it shipped well, it's wrapped, we're going to take a

 look at it, make sure there's no damage.

 But I'm really impressed with how they ship this stuff.

 So as expected with this fitness reality product, I know it's not the most expensive stuff,

 but you get a good set of instructions that are pretty straightforward and easy to follow.

 And you get all your hardware laid out in different steps.

 When you start to assemble this, which is really handy, they give you they give you

 the Allen keys and the wrench to do the job, we're going to use an impact gun and a and

 our own wrench just to help speed things up a little bit make a little bit easier but

 You just got to follow step by step so you really can't go wrong.

 Okay, step one, guys, it asks you to loosen this top bar just so there's a little play

 So I've gone ahead and done that already.

 Now it asks you to take this bottom bar off as the next part of the step.

 So I've gone ahead and loosen these bolts and nuts already.

 This bottom bar is actually going to get repurposed and it's going to become the bar for the leg

 So we got this taken off, we're going to put this aside for later, it becomes the leg hold

 down it's going to fasten into the rack something like this.

 So we also have to take the bottom bolts out of these two bottom back legs.

 It's marked with the up direction so we don't get that backwards.

 It's simply going to go on our rack down here, slide into place over top of these bottom

 legs and step one gives us longer bolts for this.

 I'm going to get a bolt starter on each side.

 Okay, so we've got our longer bolts in that they provided us with step one and we're going

 to put there's a washer on each side and a nut, we're going to put these in and put them

 together and then we're going to tighten everything down and that's the end of step one.

 So I will point out that it looks like on the new pieces we're putting on here, the

 bolts and nuts are slightly bigger, they're 11 sixteenths or 17 millimeter versus five

 eighths or 16 millimeter on the stuff we're taking off.

 So we're going to go with 17 millimeter, it's a tighter fit and we'll quickly get this stuff

 All right, this step is putting the, this is a starter putting the main frame together

 and it uses these hex cap bolts and they give you a couple Allen keys in the kit, which

 is great, but we happen to have this little socket Allen key here that's going to fit

 in so we're going to use our impact drill again just to help speed things along.

 Okay, we're getting ready to start our main frame here, we've got a curved bracket that

 we're going to use in a couple different spots on the rack here.

 So one last thing I'll point out, I mentioned in the other video that you don't get a lot

 of area to bolt this rack down, but notice back here on the bottom of the main frame

 on the foot, there's a couple of mounting holes so we could secure this rack to the

 So we're going to loosely put a couple bolts in here just to hold this bracket for us,

 one in the top one in the bottom just so that it doesn't wiggle around too much and then

 So we've got that there, we'll line this up with our center bolt and we'll get that started.

 Okay, we've got a six millimeter hex bit and we've got a 13 mil or half inch wrench and
