Strategy and tactics are crucial to surviving battles (relatively) unscathed

Suffice it to say, Final Fantasy VII Remake provides a diversity of gameplay that&rsquo;s often lacking in modern-day JRPGs.

 Today's modern RPG masterpieces are a different breed, but when it comes to storyline and enjoyment the dated classic FF7 still remains at the top of my list.  With the prequalifiers out of the way:  The story is really padded out - in script, in the time it takes to complete missions, and in side-quests. This seems mostly because the world had to be rebuilt in 3D and they needed to justify all that work. It's not an open-world however, you're limited to specific areas and those areas have various uninspired side-quests

 The real-time combat doesn't really give you enough time to manage your characters and choose actions. The 'classic' mode is more like a turn-based system (but not). But it's also set to easy difficulty, so it requires very little beyond button mashing for most encounters.  Not being able to use summons when you want to is annoying

 (which should give you an idea of how much extra story padding there is in this game compared to the original)  I'm a big fan of the original. I continue to think it was one of the best RPGs I've played. Today's modern RPG masterpieces are a different breed, but when it comes to storyline and enjoyment the dated classic FF7 still remains at the top of my list.  It's a big, broad, beautiful shooter that nails the Star Wars' atmosphere almost everywhere. The campaign is still a bit of a snore and occasionally long queue times and matchmaking, and a handful of forgettable game modes give the multiplayer a couple of caveats, but highlights like Capital Supremacy make it stand out, and the progression system is fair and rewarding.  It's not very difficult to queue up for the main modes like Capital Supremacy and Galactic Assault, especially on Ps4, but smaller modes like Hero Showdown and Hero Star Fighters can take a few minutes of waiting before you can enjoy them. Then there are the even less popular modes like the capture based jet pack, Cargo, or Blast which is just team deathmatch. Those are often complete dead zones with no players. Thankfully, QuickPlay is a reliable fallback that will always drop you in - it's hot, but the limited choice cues can occasionally be disappointing All the same, The recently added Capital Supremacy mode is both one of the busiest and one of the best

Almost since the beginning, Star Wars has been a story of redemption from Darkness, So in an ironic sort of way, Battlefront 2 is a better Star Wars game because of its initial fall to the Dark side and subsequent journey back to the Light. After over two years of updates and changes, EA and Dice have redeemed this gorgeous shooter and turned into one of the best multiplayer adaptations of the Star Wars universe to date, Taking an all Battlefront to now has to offer at once is honestly a bit overwhelming. Setting aside the overly safe, short and disappointing single-player story, there's a wealth of wave based cooperative maps and a litany of online competitive multiplayer modes. Most of them play wonderfully and they all use that classic Star Wars look and feel on an unrivaled scale

 The story campaign is perfectly fine. However, most people play this game for the online arcade mode to battle in teams against other players. The original Battlefront 1 and 2 that came out years ago (early 2000s) had the same type of gameplay, but the new Battlefront 1 and 2 were made by EA, and that's where the problems begin.  For parents: What is not listed on the box is EA's toxic behavior of putting loot boxes (unregulated gambling) and pay to win tactics (paid upgrades for the best gear and playable characters such as jedi and sith) into the game

 So, unbeknownst to you parents out there, your child or teenager is being exposed to unregulated gambling in their videogame if they get a hold of your money, and being tempted to purchase their favorite characters from StarWars to play as in the game. The game does not force them to pay any additional charges, but they will have to spend hours playing the game just to be able to play as Luke, Vader, or other popular StarWars characters due to how EA uses this 'grind' to tempt many players to cheat ahead by buying the characters instead. Unfortunately this is also present in games such as Overwatch and Fortnite. Please be advised and monitor your child's gameplay experience

 There are different game modes that have no guide or tutorial in them all bunched up in on 40 player game mode. No way to chose what map you want or which unique mode to play. The menus are glitchy and hard to manage. There is no real player customization if you wanted to make your online trooper look different from the rest

 Ultimately, all the offline content is severely lacking. The game is obviously designed so that every player will be forced to play the online multiplayer for any real, satisfying experience, and thus will be forced to either spend countless hours grinding or pay for loot boxes. The Straw That Broke the Camel’s Back

  Overall I'm glad I bought it, especially now that EA has gotten rid of a lot of the pay-to-play stuff. If you love Star Wars games, you'll definitely enjoy this for at least the single player campaign.

 You really need a fast, solid internet connection to play this one, or you will have some lag and glitches. The story campaign was maybe the best part, and if nothing else it's a good practice for playing online--although you won't get most of the weapons and abilities available in it until you play a LOT of multiplayer.  Overall I'm glad I bought it, especially now that EA has gotten rid of a lot of the pay-to-play stuff. If you love Star Wars games, you'll definitely enjoy this for at least the single player campaign

Fun for a little while

 It’s a mix between shootouts, lightsaber fighting and vehicular combat including space battles. My favorite multiplayer mode is Heroes vs Villains which puts Light Side heroes up against the Dark Side villains from all three trilogies. This mode has a mix between lightsaber code quarter and long range gun fights.  GRAPHICS 8/10 The graphics are very good
