I recently moved from a house to an apartment. I always used these filters at my house and continued in the apartment, instead of the cheap ones that are typically provided for tenants without charge. Goodness, I don't remember my filters being this dirty so quickly in my house! This apartment obviously is much smaller in square footage, although I do have two Persian cats. Between my Honeywell air filters, these 3M Filtrete filters, and my Rainbow vacuum cleaner - it really does control the dust/dander in my small space

Peace of mind

  Threw a new one of these into the HVAC system, turned on the A/C, her symptoms subsided in minutes. I mean literally in about 4 minutes.  If you love someone with allergies, you will know how terrible it is when you can't do anything to help them.  I wish these filters had been available when my son used to suffer from seasonal allergy

Now, I have not done a side-by-side comparison test, though I do have some less expensive filters sitting there just in case - or maybe I'll throw those in, in the winter months (which is about 7 months per year here)

I order these 3M filters on a regular basis. The filters work fine however the last two times they have come damaged I couldn't tell that there was enough damage on a box to cause this kind of issue. I keep my filters in the box until I need them because it keeps them nice and straight and when I opened one that's too late to replace I noticed it's damaged beyond belief and the second pair that I have to bother to return is also damaged. Now I don't know how they're getting damaged but they need to either pad the box so any kind of pressure doesn't affect the delicate makeup of the filter or if they went in damaged

These air filters are superior in quality and function, I even use the highest filtration level as a top notch replacement for hepa filtration in appliances and air filters at my business for decades now. One will easily be able to discern the difference in air quality when in use in just a few minutes. One can even make an inexpensive quality air cleaner with an ordinary household fan and and air filter simply taped to it as is demonstrated by a Professor at the University of Michigan on you tube. Really a need for most homes in all American cities today

In summary, I recommend this filter if you can get enough air flow from your vents to warm your home without putting too much stress on your heating unit.

I don't know if I should give this 4 or 5 stars, because I really like the way it filters the air, but I can't get my house warm enough on cold nights. This Product the Filtrete 1500 is excellent, and by far, the best filter I have ever purchased. This product performed so well and I was extremely impressed. Usually, I have to replace a filter in 2 months, but this one, the 1500 is superb. Even when I changed it after 3 months, I was surprised that it was not as dirty as I thought it would be

 It is really so efficient and has lived up to all the claims. My house I so clean and healthy. I feel much better too about spending the money.

 I know they are a lot cheaper in price than the major brand, and our forced air system seems to work like it always did, and perhaps the air is just as clean as when I used the major brand's very expensive filters. But I can't say for sure - I have no way to test them. If you want to save a lot of money, then buy these - they seem to be performing the same as the MERV 12s I used to buy for a lot more money. Other than that, the 6-pak is handy, and the box they come is very thick and heavy cardboard material - which I use for floor protection while working on our old house

What do I know?

 I will not be returning these but will think twice about ordering again. Perhaps shopping local is the way to go.

 These Nordic Pure filters work great and are almost half the cost of the Filtrete ones for the same quality  The only difference is the packaging. These come directly from the manufacturer (based on what I saw), so they're not packaged like the Filtrete ones, which I really don't care about as my main reason for buying these is performance and not marketing.

.  I decided to give these filters a try. They are affordable and delivered to my porch is much preferred to fighting my way to the big box home improvement store 30 minutes away.  I put the first one in and not 20 minutes later my wife asked me why the air smelled "clean"
