I've been buying the Filtrete filters for at least 15 years, and as they've increased the quality of the product, I've moved with them. So far, at 75, with a couple of dogs, and candle burninf, and wood stove, I'm still well. Thank you Filtrete!

Have purchased Filtrete filters for our home furnace before, but apparently, not all manufacturers know how to measure accurately. We’ve used 16X20X4 before, but when we had a new furnace installed, THEIR 16X20X4 measures out at 3 3/4” instead of 4”. Am wondering if you make a filter that fits the 3 3/4” framing instead of a true 4” depth? Would I recommend these filters?Measure FIRST; don’t destroy one. Too expensive to lose

 I know they are a lot cheaper in price than the major brand, and our forced air system seems to work like it always did, and perhaps the air is just as clean as when I used the major brand's very expensive filters. But I can't say for sure - I have no way to test them. If you want to save a lot of money, then buy these - they seem to be performing the same as the MERV 12s I used to buy for a lot more money. Other than that, the 6-pak is handy, and the box they come is very thick and heavy cardboard material - which I use for floor protection while working on our old house

What do I know?

 I will not be returning these but will think twice about ordering again. Perhaps shopping local is the way to go.

 These Nordic Pure filters work great and are almost half the cost of the Filtrete ones for the same quality  The only difference is the packaging. These come directly from the manufacturer (based on what I saw), so they're not packaged like the Filtrete ones, which I really don't care about as my main reason for buying these is performance and not marketing.

.  I decided to give these filters a try. They are affordable and delivered to my porch is much preferred to fighting my way to the big box home improvement store 30 minutes away.  I put the first one in and not 20 minutes later my wife asked me why the air smelled "clean"
