Not very satisfied with what appears to be a very short battery life on these Bluetooth filters. I bought two sets of each for my two units (different sizes) five months ago. Installed the first pair, and they worked very well. Got down to 3%, and I went to replace the filters

Poor battery life.

 The app works great for me. Easily pairs with the filter and updates all the time based on current airflow. The app tells me that I bought the filter in early April and it still has 38% life left and is rated good. It is now early July so I got 3 months use and maybe another month or two to go

I got these so I would know when to change the air filter because at times we have wildfires and lots of particles (and presumably dust) in the house and at other times things are clear. I wanted to get high degree of particle filtration, but not have to guess when to replace it. The app works great for me. Easily pairs with the filter and updates all the time based on current airflow

 I also really think that they help with allergies and breathing better (less snoring) at night. They are too pricey (so one star off), but given that the technology works and does something useful, I think that they are worth the extra scratch for piece of mind and health benefits. (I got the 2200 MPR which I think is like Merv 16 or so - super good filtration of small particles, which should include the particles from wildfires).

Smart Technology

  So though this is the correct size for our model we rotate the filter we use in order to use the whole filter which I will provide a photo below to show what I am explaining.  The filter on its own though is amazing.  We noticed a lot less particles coming up through our vents from this filter and for the time we have had it so far it does seem to be picking up much more of the dust and dirt that comes through.  I wish the app had been available for me to use on my phone because then I could tell you just the difference in time that it would between changes but I am thinking of changing to this filter even without the app because I have noticed a much more improved quality in the air and I am not dusting every week because of white particles being everywhere

It’s designed to be convenient and a set and forget type of thing, but I’d say it fails at that. At least in my case.

 The capacitor that controlled the fan needed to be replaced as a result which was about $260 in repair costs. As a result, I cannot in good faith recommend this product at all as it is too inaccurate and too expensive for what you get.  Frequent disconnects with Bluetooth service and inaccuracy in filter life. Had my HVAC unit serviced today and the technician said that the filter was so dirty that it had begun to weaken certain components of the system and started to burn out some of them. The capacitor that controlled the fan needed to be replaced as a result which was about $260 in repair costs. A Smart Filter that is not Smart enough to do it’s job well

After that, we didn't need to run the furnace blower at all since the weather was great. So, I checked the app after a month of NOT pulling any air through the filter, and it said that the filter only had 67% of it's life left

 In AZ, we have a lot of microfine dust in the air along with the usual stuff floating around. I can look at the google calendar OR look at the filter and I'm smart enough to know that it's either TIME to replace, or the filter LOOKS like it is full and needs to be replaced! For the price of this filter set (2 per box) and I can more than several traditional filters and skip the technology! This is a product that begs the question, "Just because you can do something, is it really necessary To do something?" Stick with the traditional filters, save money and simply write on your calendar to check the filters after three months of use. Save money and get something simple that will DO something simple. This is WAY over engineered!

Way Too Much Technology for Something Simple to Do!

 So the app is worthless which means I could have saved money and got one without this feature. Outside of that I feel it helps with cleaner air. Next time I will order as close to this as possible without the Bluetooth feature.

 I know they are a lot cheaper in price than the major brand, and our forced air system seems to work like it always did, and perhaps the air is just as clean as when I used the major brand's very expensive filters. But I can't say for sure - I have no way to test them. If you want to save a lot of money, then buy these - they seem to be performing the same as the MERV 12s I used to buy for a lot more money. Other than that, the 6-pak is handy, and the box they come is very thick and heavy cardboard material - which I use for floor protection while working on our old house

What do I know?

 I will not be returning these but will think twice about ordering again. Perhaps shopping local is the way to go.

 These Nordic Pure filters work great and are almost half the cost of the Filtrete ones for the same quality  The only difference is the packaging. These come directly from the manufacturer (based on what I saw), so they're not packaged like the Filtrete ones, which I really don't care about as my main reason for buying these is performance and not marketing.

.  I decided to give these filters a try. They are affordable and delivered to my porch is much preferred to fighting my way to the big box home improvement store 30 minutes away.  I put the first one in and not 20 minutes later my wife asked me why the air smelled "clean"
