Filtrete 1900 Maximum Allergen Reduction vs Filtrete Healthy Living Ultra Allergen 4 MPR1550

not a replacement for Honeywell FC100A1037 even though that unit takes a 20x25x5 this filter is too tall. I had to mash it in there the same way an electrician mashes wire behind sockets. I paid an inflated price for these wanted to get a really good filter for my 2 units and am disappointed feeling that having to mash them in ruins the effectiveness of the filtration action. Debating voices in my head saying I should return these and the other saying its too hot to crawl back in there to send back

It does say they can last up to 3 months but find with the size of our house we need to change them every month. We do see an improvement using the filters.

I assumed you can't return an open air filter so I didn't even try, and as a single mom I don't have spare money, so I just ripped part of the outer box off and crushed the outer edges of the box, squishing it in there until I forced it to fit. Even cut myself in the process. Can't wait to figure out how to remove it when the time comes. Will be buying the other brand the installers provided next time

I started using 1500 moved up to 1900 and I love both of them and recommend them to anyone who has allergies or a family member who does. Before my son could not rest well and sneezed constantly. I thought if I dusted and vacuumed everyday it would be ok. It wasn't until I started using Filtrete 1500 -1900 that he was able to stopped being so missable

We have a shih 'tzu dog and a siamese cat. Although shih 'tzu's don't really shed and have to be groomed, they still have dander. We switched from the basic, inexpensive furnace filter to the Filtrete Allergen Reduction filter when our son started showing symptoms of allergies. I have chronic bronchitis (COPD) and allergies. I noticed immediately when I put the filter in that I can breathe sooo much better!! Definitely worth the $20 imo.

These filters keep out dust, dander and pollen. At present, I have 2 dogs & 1 cat in the house. My whole house smells fresh for 3 glorious months. They are not as cheap as Brand X, but very worth every penny; considering all they accomplish

I love the idea of cleaner air, but my furnace company told me I needed to change the setting on my furnace when I use a higher quality filter such as this one. This was unexpected news.

Excellent air filter. I buy these 20x20x1 sizes and tape them to a regular box fan for a quick, easy, and affordable air filtration unit that I can move around the house wherever/whenever I want. No need for any special high end unit that requires a unique filter that some company stops supporting.
