  Based on Filson's size chart, this means I should wear a small in their jackets (let's ignore the fact that I'm slightly taller and slightly heavier than the "average" and yet require a "small").

I purchased two Filson "Jackets" during the same week, and I've been very disappointed with their lack of consistency when it comes to sizing.  Before I get into specifics, I understand that there is a reason for one garment to be sized a little differently than another (i.e., a Sport Coat would be sized differently than an overcoat), but that doesn't hold here

For a brand that costs as much as Filson does, one would expect for their sizing to be right.  And if it's not right, then one would at least it to be consistent.  Unfortunately, Filson fails in both regards at least with respect to the Hyder and the Short Lined Cruiser.

This jacket does everything I want a Fall jacket to do. Primaloft keeps me warm, the durable outer material is great for days when you’re out and about, and it looks sharp too. I’m 6’3, 210 lbs and a large is slightly long in the sleeves but overall fits very well.

I own a few products by Filson, all nicely made and quality workmanship. This jacket appears to be well made, time will be the test of longevity on this piece. I wouldn’t suggest this jacket for any rugged outdoor use. Definitely nice for light duty and around town work

Usually I’d be a large in anything else (with the exception of the new Filson gear) but a medium in this is plenty

This softshell jacket is lightweight enough to be perfect for cycling, rock climbing, and hiking but still durable enough to provide protection and abrasion resistance from the terrain and environment. With a helmet-compatible hood and an ample cut, this jacket also allows for layering underneath, which many other lightweight class options don't allow for.
While not the most weatherproof, the Ferrosi provides excellent 3-season protection from light precipitation and winds, making it a good choice for backpacking, alpine climbing, and mountain biking. A staple of the softshell category, this is one of the best deals that you can find.

We’ve tested a wide range of hiking pants over the years, and you’d be hard-pressed to find a better combination of comfort and performance than with Outdoor Research’s Ferrosi. Featuring the brand’s signature Ferrosi Fabric, this semi-trim-fitting pant provides an excellent mix of weight, durability, stretch, and all-around mobility. In addition, it excels at temperature regulation: We’ve found it’s tough enough to cut the wind and shed light rain but dries quickly and breathes when the thermometer starts to climb. It’s worth noting that the Ferrosi was recently updated, with highlights including a bump in sustainability—the fabric is now bluesign-approved and 46% recycled—but the winning formula has gone largely unchanged for years, which is a good thing.

The Ferrosi takes our top hiking pants spot for 2022, but we do have a couple nitpicks with the design. First off, you don’t get a built-in belt, and the drawstrings along the inside of the waistband are a less effective solution (they’re harder to quickly access and adjust if you need to tighten or loosen the fit). Additionally, the thin fabric and basic pocket layout make the Ferrosi less appealing than alternatives like the prAna Stretch Zion II below for everyday wear and travel. That said, for hitting the backcountry, it’s as good as it gets on the market currently.  This material is so durable. I'Ve scraped my way up, Chimney style pitches brushed across tree branches. While mountain biking and more and my froz hardly shows any signs of wear the soft shell material is highly wind resistant and also water resistant it'll shed a light rain pretty easily and can handle misty conditions, but it's not fully waterproof. So don't expect it to keep you dry in a downpour

 This is a men's size large also it does have a cinch here, so you can cinch it the little hem here around your waistline. If you choose to do so, there is just that one on the one side, so these four OC hoodies are made out of that's kind of spandex stretchy material, about door research. I really love this material, it's really nice and stretchy. This is kind of more or less a mid layer, type of geek piece of gear

 This is kind of a longer fit. It is a trim fit, but it's a kind of a longer bed, and I like that, because you can kind of pull it down a little bit and kind of get it down on your body a little bit more. Maybe you want to kind of cover your backside a little bit more like that. It'S a very good feature

Hey there folks Luke here with the up dog river view, I hope you're all doing well today, for this episode we have the Outdoor Research / oç hoodie 360 time now. What we have here is a softshell hoodie, and this is an all season piece that you could wear over a t-shirt. You can wear this over a down jacket. You could wear this in the spring

 You also have two pockets down here very nice. You also have the hood, which is fully adjustable all that good stuff. Now, like I've mentioned, I have been testing this out for a number of months and I really like this jacket. It'S extremely comfortable, it's very lightweight, it's also very compressible, so you could shove this in a small pack into a lumbar pack

 I can go hiking, I can go skiing. I could sit around a fire now when it comes to cost you're. Looking at one hundred and thirty dollars at the time of filming, I was able to find this for as low as eighty five dollars on the internet. So look around find a good deal now

 In just a moment now, with a fur OC hoodie, I went with a larger size than I typically wear, because I wanted to use this for layering now. As you can see here, the jacket looks great, it looks comfortable and that's because it really is comfortable. The soft shell material, this Kaduri spandex material, is absolutely awesome. It really is, it breeds very, very well

Excellent Quality but Pricey - Outdoor Research Ferrosi Hoody - Review

Ideal pants would be on the slimmer side, have a cinch at the bottom to keep snow out and maybe fleece lined or just heavier material to keep the heat in and the wind out.

 I'm hoping to find pants that work down to about freezing so I can just layer if it gets any colder. Snow pants are out because they are always way too baggy.

 Hiker by any means, but i am always looking to cut some weight where i can. I weighed both the hooded and the non-hooded version of this jacket. Again, it's a size large. The non-hooded version came in at 11
