 I cant run any paid app that I've been using on my S10plus. I use UAPP premium with Parametric EQ and I wanted to install it on M11 to improved the average Fiio Player and sucks 10Band EQ that Fiio Player has. With "suck" i said, yes it is really bad, the EQ doesnt respond in a good way. It doesnt have gain control, meaning your EQ resulting on distorted and cheap-ish sound

Ive been on the lookout for a decent portable setup for a while now, and was very close to buying the Fiio M11, but was put off by many posts on here saying external dac/amps are the way to go for performance against cost. I have the dragonfly cobalt and I was never really convinced it sounded that much better than the 3.5mm out of my Pixel phone, although it did offer more power. Then I saw the reviews of the iFi Hip-dac and I went for it, and I’m very impressed

 I’ve been using it for about a month now and I love it, I love everything about the sound, and it’s making me love my headphones in ways I didn’t before.

The pic shows the Beyerdynamic T 5 P, these are what I would class as nice detailed sounding headphones, but through this amp they sound ‘alive’ (I’m not a professional sound reviewer  ) the detail is still there but there is an added emotion to it.

I also have the 599 HD SE that I got when it was on the black Friday deal and I hated them when I got them but kept them as they were a gift. But through this amp with the bass button enabled (I’m a bass head) and on low volume on high gain they are amazing. They sound larger, not just louder but big. I now use these headphones during the day while I WFH as they are so comfortable, and I can hear what’s going on around me. With this amp it doesn’t feel like a compromise. My favourite album this year is Muzz, which is has a lot of low end and minimal instrumentation and it sounds incredible on this setup.

Also got the 4.4 balanced cable for my Moondrop Starfields - not sure if it adds anything over the 3.5mm but I wanted to try it. These IEMS on this amp was probably the biggest surprise, and probably what I will use the most when I’m back in the office. They sound so clean and detailed, and I can’t see how I would ever need to upgrade this setup for travelling.

I know I’m just joining in millions of others posts about this thing, but if anyone is reading this who had been considering buying it, I couldn’t recommend it more. Everything I own sounds amazing on this.

I am pretty new to the HiFi world and listen to music either at work or on the move. I desire to have a portable HiFi gear which I can use at different places like work, commute, cousin's place, etc.

Newbie | Need help | Portable HiFi setup

 I recommend not letting it dip below 50% and not charging it above 97% (from what I've read). That said, this means that with the heavy use I've been giving this device, I'm charging it for about one to one and a half hours a day for three to four hours of use. If I shut off Wifi, it lasts longer. If I'm using standard 3

 Balanced use drains the battery just a smidge faster. WiFi uses a lot. "All to DSD" drains really fast. All in all though, some people have complained about the battery life - I think its perfectly acceptable given what this device is doing and comparing it against other devices in its price range

 I think a lot of laptops and even Apple's iPad utilizes the Lithium-Polymer battery technology. The advantage to the Lithium-Polymer battery is you can get much more battery storage into a smaller space. The disadvantage, from what I've gathered, is that you have 100 to 200 fewer charge cycles in its lifetime than its Lithium-Ion cousin. Not the end of the world, but it does mean that if you want the battery in this to last for years then you need to take good care of it

Great DAP, poor customer service.

5mm output is a revelation. My ipod never came close to what the Fiio is capable of sonically. I listen to a wide variety of music (rock, jazz, classical, blues, reggae, and so on.

  Overall I am very happy with the Fiio M11. It is by far one of the best audio gear purchases I've made in a very long time.

  The player user interface has been working well for me so far, although I usually access the music folders/files directly. The player boots up quickly and works without issue. No complaints.  The sound quality is phenomenal! Listening with my Philips SHP9500s headphones plugged into the 3

I've been on the fence about purchasing a Fiio high rez player for a number of years, but I was put off by the reviews warning of the buggy user interface. I decided to plunk for the M11 mainly for the fiio link function, which allows the user to control the player at a remote location using an android device, but also for the massive amount of storage it can provide (up to 4tb of storage, assuming 2tb micro sd cards will ever exist). I've dreamed for years of the ability to store my entire music catalog in one hand held device, since carrying half a dozen iPods is a pain. Having the ability to connect the player to my pool stereo and control the tunes poolside was another dream yet realized

The Fiio M11 checks every box!

I listen to mostly 1bit high resolution music files (DSD, DSF, DFF). My current DAC is a NextDrive Spectra which I bought from Amazon and played through Samsung S7 phone using PowerAmp Pro audio player and auxillary cable connected to my Sony amp and speaker system. I had a chance to compare it side by side with FiiO M11 for couple of hours. The FiiO did give noticeably clear audio output at high frequency than the Spectra, and I particularly liked FiiO's "All DSD" capability that allowed playing all music files as if they were DSD files

 The reason why I'm returning the FiiO is the user interface. The audio software is down right clunky compared to $5 PowerAmp Pro app. FiiO does not allow (1) file/folder transfer within the player (it does allow file transfer wirelessly however), (2) you cannot organize your music once the music is in the player, (3) no way to edit music titles or tags, (4) no easy way of downloading album arts or lyrics even with the latest updates, (5) no way to delete folders, (6) connection to network servers does not work with File Manager, (7) no way to download apps from Google Play, (8) navigation within the player is not intuitive, (9) and there is no way to sort the music by track number, only alphabetically. I really wanted to like it based on the audio quality, but i didn't want to give up all of the user interface convenience that PowerAmp provides

Decent Audio Player but Clunky User Interface

  The Fiio Music app UI doesn't make a ton of sense. You often have to perform 3+ taps and wait for menu animations for a music player function that should be 2 screen taps (at most) to perform. Shuffle everything of one artist doesn't shuffle because when the list hits a multi-track album, the player will treat the album as one track and play though every song sequentially before shuffling to the next album. If you want to shuffle all artist tracks completely randomly across multiple albums, this player will simply not do it

 It restarts mid play, it won't connect via USB to computers, It doesn't shuffle properly, and the Wifi or Bluetooth does not work.  This $400 device is not stable enough to function, cannot connect to Wifi, Bluetooth, or transfer data through a USB cable. My iPod from 2005 is not only a better mobile device, but a better music player than the Fiio M11 and the M11 has completely made me question Fiio as a brand.

Overall - this is a neat unit by Sirius that untethers you from the car/truck radio SiriusXM and having to stream from your phone to various speakers. That's my primary reason for purchasing - I was tired of having to reconnect my phone (and find my phone typically) to different speakers in the house, and I didn't need another Sirius subscription to use the radio.  Pros: I like the fact it's an "all in one" - connect it to WiFi, enter your Sirius account credentials and you're off and rolling. Very easy setup

but it's far from stellar. I'm listening to it now and the sound pops and crackles at times, just like an AM/FM station. I hooked up a H/K speaker via aux connection and it sounds better, but since the source pops.
