The blades are very sharp, but are a little flimsy. They are not sturdy, but get the job done. The four cutting mats are perfect for small jobs. It's a good starter set

I wanted something similar for steaks/meat. I tried one the other night on steak and it cuts through like butter and this wasn't a filet - it was a regular steak with some gristle. I haven't had that sensation with a steak knife even in the good steak restaurants. I picked a non-serrated blade because in researching knives, some prefer not tearing the meat which even the sharpest serrated knives will do

Fine for the price and overall happy with the set. Only had them a few weeks and already see rust spots on a few of the blades. Not the best quality but fine for every day use.

Nice looking knife but not the most high quality dumascus steel and dulled quickly (1st use with boneless prime rib roast) would like to had them keep edge longer. i would recommend but buying on sale would help with value

The knives work well in this Farberware Steak Knife Set but they do leak water from them after hand washing. Nobody wants soapy dish water rolling down the knife while eating dinner (handle leaks).

I've owned Shun steak knives for over a decade. Attractive and stay sharp. Not as nice as the earlier ones that came in a wooden box, but far superior to most steak knives on the market. My go-to knife for meats
