 At 95mm underfoot, the Dictator 2.0X is a versatile off-piste performer that's more than capable in deep snow but you might want something a little wider if you're heading in the direction of Japanese powder. All in all, a really solid, if not particularly playful ski that will satisfy powerful, confident female skiers. Whilst it definitely requires a solid drive, if you like to be in the front then you'll be pleased with how the Dictator 2

0X is a classic freeride, flat tail ski that demands to be skied with power, commitment and grandes cojones (or the female equivalent). With two layers of Titanal surrounding a lightweight poplar/paulownia core, the Dictator 2.0X has been built with strength and stability in mind and delivers excellent edge hold if you fully commit to the carve.          

 All in all, a really solid, if not particularly playful ski that will satisfy powerful, confident female skiers. Whilst it definitely requires a solid drive, if you like to be in the front then you'll be pleased with how the Dictator 2.0X responds.

 double sidewalls they claim helps the ski stay on edge in ice and crud and the freestyle

 They are a twin so you can totally ski switch, you can totally butter. These are a lightweight

 freestyle ski. You can definitely ski these on the east for a powder. These would definitely

 be more of a powder ski for the east coast but this could be a total everyday driver

 for anybody on the west in variable conditions. When we skied in the trees with these after

 we got through about two inches of powder is what has fallen today there is some icy

 crud underneath and these skis really did handle that crud well. This ski would be

 ideal for somebody who is intermediate to expert. As an intermediate skier I would say

 you want to be in high intermediate looking to improve. This is a ski that you are really

 going to want to progress in the sport on. If you are just looking for a casual intermediate

 cruiser this is not the ski for you. If you are looking to get into all mountain skiing

 and into playful free riding this would be the ski for you. Advanced to expert skiers

 go for it give them a try they are a hoot. They are so much fun so responsive. Different

 skis are better for different types of skiers so if you want to find out what ski is right

 Looking at the shape and the profile, one of the other major upgrades with this year's QST line is Salomon added a double sidewall. So as you can see here, pretty significant looking at it from there. So what that does is just really takes the performance on snow as far as edge grip to a whole new level. When I skied last year's QST, I believe it was a 99, really great feel and really light and maneuverable and I really like that about them, but it's super noticeable with the double sidewall this year just because what was just a really floaty kind of surfy feel with these skis last year, they now have this really strong performance as far as edge grip and just control

 So speaking again to its ability to really just be snappy edge-to-edge and allow you to really maneuver them strongly and confidently. So I would say these are best for intermediate to advanced female skiers who are looking for just a really all-around daily driver ski. I mean 98 underfoot is a pretty great waist width, allows you to be on trail, off trail and just kind of ski a little bit of everything and then with the shape and profile, you know, if you do encounter some soft snow they perform really, really well. So I'm a huge fan of this ski, definitely recommend checking them out on SkiEssentials

 So a lot of float in the tips and then camber underfoot and then looking at the tails, I would say this is another focus for this year's model. Last year's they had a little bit more of a directional shape and a flatter, more square shape in the tails and this year you can see there's a little bit of early rise in the tails, so just kind of taking it into a more freeride oriented shape and profile and that just really makes them a little bit more playful and if you wanted to you definitely could ski switch with these. So just making them a lot more versatile and less limited to terrain and performance. This size is a, let's see, we have a 176 and with that it has a 16 meter turn radius, so kind of middle of the road, still a pretty, you know, medium turning radius for this size ski

 So really effortless kind of edge-to-edge control and energy transfer, which I definitely noticed from last year. So I would say it's a fantastic upgrade as far as what Salomon did with this year's QST line. We also have the all-terrain rocker, so pretty significant taper in the tips and rocker in the tips as well. So you can see here effective edge-to-about here and then it starts to kind of have an early gradual rise thanks to the taper, dramatic taper and the all-terrain rocker
