 At 95mm underfoot, the Dictator 2.0X is a versatile off-piste performer that's more than capable in deep snow but you might want something a little wider if you're heading in the direction of Japanese powder. All in all, a really solid, if not particularly playful ski that will satisfy powerful, confident female skiers. Whilst it definitely requires a solid drive, if you like to be in the front then you'll be pleased with how the Dictator 2

0X is a classic freeride, flat tail ski that demands to be skied with power, commitment and grandes cojones (or the female equivalent).  You know, demo bindings are pretty heavy. This ski that I have in my hand is a demo binding. So underfoot here it's pretty heavy, but I can, even just holding it, you can feel the light weight or light swing weight in the tips and tails. So, yeah, good, you know, good versatile AT ski

 We reached out to a few guys that kind of use this as their daily driver ski. Andrew Whiteford's a really well-known skier, came from here on the East and now he's kind of all over the place. And he really, really likes this ski because it's got, you know, it's performance that you can trust. It's a ski that you can grab on pretty much any day as long as you're not just like ripping groomer turns all day

 And yeah, you know, it's just a really good ski. It's got a lot of, it's got a good even mix of performance characteristics. It's not overly demanding, but you do get good stability out of this ski too. So say you want to ski pretty fast and aggressively, the tail actually has some nice support to it

 Hi, skiers. I'm Jeff from SkiEssentials.com. Welcome to our 2021 ski test videos. Today we're going to talk about the Line Sick Day 104.

 You know, big powder day, maybe the conditions are perfect, maybe the sun is out and it's a warm day.

 It's always fun to take a sick day and get out there and enjoy the mountain on a midweek day.

 And this Sick Day 104 is a pretty perfect tool to do that with, just a really versatile ski.

 You know, 104 waist width, we kind of throw that into the freeride category, but this thing's pretty darn versatile as an all-mountain ski too.

 Aspen wood core in these skis, and then they also have carbon fiber, basically strips of carbon fiber down the full length of the ski.

 Give it some extra responsiveness, some extra stability. Carbon is a really, really cool material for ski construction that more and more companies are using.

 It starts becoming a pretty popular material for ski construction.

 And then shape of this thing, you know, when you think of line, traditionally we think about twin tips.

 This is a much more directional ski. There is some tail rise back there, but it's not that substantial and I certainly wouldn't call it a twin tip.

 And then there's much longer tip rocker up here. And as you can see, just binding placement, we've got a more traditional mount point on these.

 Now, we do get some nice early taper in the tips and tails. Again, more abrupt in the tip, or at least more prevalent in the tip, which makes sense for a directional shape like this.

 And yeah, you know, it's just a really good ski. It's got a lot of, it's got a good even mix of performance characteristics.

 It's not overly demanding, but you do get good stability out of this ski too. So say you want to ski pretty fast and aggressively, the tail actually has some nice support to it.

 It's actually a fairly stiff tail, or at least stiff enough that it provides some, you know, a good stable feel from basically midsole back,

 which really helps if you're skiing fast and aggressively and then you get off balance, maybe get thrown into the back seat or something like that.

 You're not going to wheelie out on this ski. Now, it's also not tremendously challenging to ski either, which is really nice.

 So this tip shape, a big reason why is this tip shape and the fact that the ski is relatively lightweight.

 But this tip shape just handles all sorts of different snow conditions really, really well,

 becoming a pretty popular tip shape design, you know, the smooth early taper through the tip with progressive rise.

 Basically what that does is it gives you a ski that can feel very maneuverable,

 but also you can give it, actually retain relatively long edge contact if you're tipping it pretty high on edge.

 And this tip shape helps kind of bring you into a turn too. So, you know, you don't have to completely decamber a really stiff ski to get it to enter into a carve.

 Having that rocker combined with that smooth early taper helps kind of bring you into the first part of the turn.

 But yeah, this ski is just a lot of fun. We reached out to a few guys that kind of use this as their daily driver ski.

 Andrew Whiteford's a really well-known skier, came from here on the East and now he's kind of all over the place.

 And he really, really likes this ski because it's got, you know, it's performance that you can trust.

 It's a ski that you can grab on pretty much any day as long as you're not just like ripping groomer turns all day.

 But you can pretty much grab it on any day and, you know, rest assured that you're going to have a pretty darn good tool

 for whatever application you choose, whatever terrain you decide to ski on that given day.

 The Sick Day 104 from Line will do a pretty darn good job.

 I'd also add that it's probably light enough to put a touring binding on here.

 I know I've seen people with Sick Day 104s with Alpine touring bindings on there.

 You know, demo bindings are pretty heavy. This ski that I have in my hand is a demo binding.
