 At 95mm underfoot, the Dictator 2.0X is a versatile off-piste performer that's more than capable in deep snow but you might want something a little wider if you're heading in the direction of Japanese powder. All in all, a really solid, if not particularly playful ski that will satisfy powerful, confident female skiers.  You can see the Y-beam in there in the construction. I'm not sure you can see it on the camera, but it goes up through the ski on the tips. It's constructed fully through the bottom, under the plate, under your binding, and then it goes through the tail in the center. The reason they do that is to create more edge stability in the front of the ski and under the foot, and then a nice release in the tails

 It's definitely the metal is going to hold an edge and help you hold the edge as long as you want, or even release it when you want to get out of the turn. You can also take it through powder with a 98 waist. You're going to be able to float. Metal is going to weight it down a little bit, but you're still going to get that tip float through the beginning of the ski

 You're going to be open to a lot of options. You're going to still be able to carve it up on the groomers if you want. It's definitely the metal is going to hold an edge and help you hold the edge as long as you want, or even release it when you want to get out of the turn. You can also take it through powder with a 98 waist

 When you look at the construction or the shape of the ski, you'll see that they've got their all-terrain rocker profile like most of their Mindbenders. They've got a nice, low, early rise in the tail, camber underfoot to flex in through those turns, and a nice tip rise. Not too aggressive, again, just to help release those tails. Where I would take this ski, I would take it just about anywhere with a 98 waist

 The thought process behind that is to allow edge control in the start of the turn, making that turn start strong. Then it allows you to release your tails in the end and have a little bit more play with your tails. That goes the same with the shape of the ski when we talk about tip and tail and camber. You can see when I hold it up that it has slight camber under the foot and slight tip and tail rocker

 Someone that's not just looking for groomed trails that's really going off hitting powder or maybe the back bowls out west. They are an aggressive skier. With that titanal band, this isn't the most forgiving ski in the lineup. They do have some carbon versions that are a little bit lighter and more forgiving

 It definitely is geared towards that more advanced skier who knows what they're doing out there and who wants a ski that can go anywhere. With the 98 waist, we're getting that larger waist width for western skiers or skiers on the east coast that like to hit mixed terrain or powder and just have that one ski quiver.  In front of me I have K2 Mine Vendor 98Ti Alliance, which is their women's version in their Mine Vendor lineup. There are two TI versions in this lineup. There's an 88 and a 98. The 88 is geared more towards carving on slope, but this 98 is going to be a little bit more versatile for going off piste
