 You know, this is that shorter length but it does still, you know, it still feels like a lighter weight ski on your feet. Pretty stiff though, you know, it's amazing what they put into these and how they get it to flex. Definitely has that directional flex to it as well as the shape and the profile to make it so. But yeah, when we put them back to back, it has a lot of camber underfoot

 We kind of noticed this with Faction's other skis that they're really doing a nice job of building the camber into the ski, but that's just a ton of positive camber. So what that's going to do is it's going to, there's energy pre-built into these skis. So when you put your, you know, when you put your energy into it, you're getting a lot more out in the back end. There is a slight, you know, goes from vertical sidewall to cap in the tips and the tails, you know, right about here, which is about where the rocker starts

 Not the lightest but also not the heaviest, kind of a good mid-range of materials make for a good weight. So 1810 grams were sub 2000. You know, this is that shorter length but it does still, you know, it still feels like a lighter weight ski on your feet.  It's very stable. I didn't experience any chatter at all and I was absolutely laying trenches out there towards the bottom of this run. Snow is nice and soft here today at Powder Mountain, so we're more than excited to be out here. Thanks again Powder Mountain for everything you've done for us this week

 It's got an early rise and a decently sized shovel so the 96 underfoot is really going to help the ski perform off the groomered trails. If you end up getting a sleeper pow day with this, the ski is going to want to be pressed and driven hard. If you're looking to grab the Faction Dancer 2.0, definitely be prepared for a little bit of adjustment coming off your current skis

 The Dancer replaces the Dictator and as Faction states, this is just the all mountain, crud busting, just jamming ski. Two razor thin sheets of titanal metal go out throughout the whole way of this ski paired with a wood core. It's burly. It wants to be rode hard and put away wet

 Since this has a larger turning radius, it loves to make those long carving turns. Again, touching on the stiffness here, you do have to work hard to drive this ski. Coming from a ski racing background myself, that's something I really enjoy is some titanal in the core and working a bit harder to get the ski edge to edge. So if you're more of a lackadaisical skier looking for a fun groomer ski that'll rip at slower speeds, might not be for you

I am 6'2" and 210 lbs. riding a pair of 188's, perfect size for me. Snow conditions were not good, very hard pack on piste, off piste was 1" of new over chunk ice. Off piste was essentially not skiable

 I would expect this ski to be a blast off piste in decent snow. Can't wait to ride them in decent conditions.

You might not even fully realize just how much you want a ski like this. For high-volume ski touring, steep-and-rowdy firm-snow ski mountaineering, and work-week, headlamp exercise skinning, a lightweight set-up based on the K2 WayBack 80 is just the ticket. The featherweight construction flies uphill. The narrow and stiff construction grabs on the steeps but gets bucked around in tougher snow. 
This is a specialized tool. You won't pick these for day-to-day backcountry skiing. Deep, perfect powder snow is enjoyable, but bigger guns will be even more fun. Any sort of poor snow &#40;breakable crust? Slop?&#41; is better handled by a bigger and heavier option. All small skis are under-equipped for tough snow, but the K2 does better than most. It is this ski's more forgiving tough-snow performance that edges it ahead of other close competitors.

Obviously I won't be taking these out for powder laps but for long/fast and/or late season missions this is a great choice at a great price. Match them with a race binding (I mounted a Plum 150), light boots and race skins and you'll have a setup you won&#39;t mind hiking with to find snow in mid summer.

I got these for late spring/summer use and couldn't be happier. They are very light but can still be skied hard. I have found they shine on steep icy slopes (skied bulletproof on Temple SW) and they handle those horrible summer sun cups just fine. Compared to the Waybacks 88s I find they are a bit less grabby in breakable crusts and easier to control on steep ice
