but looks like no matter how many times i tried, i always can't get the hang on how to make a turn properly (when to release acceleration button/ when and how to hit the brake), always will go off track if too fast, or being way way too slow to not get off track. my car will be uncontrollable because i can't handle the turn properly, especially if it's a sharper turn. i tried various games over the years, need for speed, GT sport, asetto corsa comp, F1 2020, and most recently forza horizon 5, dirt. all the same result, quite frustrated because i really want to enjoy playing racing games

r/SimRacing Super Thread 2 | A one-stop guide for new and veteran sim racers

Be aware that F1 2020 plays horribly on a wheel with the default configuration. It’s not a bad game, you just need to go into the settings and adjust the figure for ‘wheel rotation’ down to something like (IIRC) 540 degrees. To test if you’ve got the right number, just go into cockpit view and see if the driver’s hands and arms match the position of your own. Adjust as needed and repeat

 It's not very difficult to queue up for the main modes like Capital Supremacy and Galactic Assault, especially on Ps4, but smaller modes like Hero Showdown and Hero Star Fighters can take a few minutes of waiting before you can enjoy them. Then there are the even less popular modes like the capture based jet pack, Cargo, or Blast which is just team deathmatch. Those are often complete dead zones with no players. Almost since the beginning, Star Wars has been a story of redemption from Darkness, So in an ironic sort of way, Battlefront 2 is a better Star Wars game because of its initial fall to the Dark side and subsequent journey back to the Light. After over two years of updates and changes, EA and Dice have redeemed this gorgeous shooter and turned into one of the best multiplayer adaptations of the Star Wars universe to date, Taking an all Battlefront to now has to offer at once is honestly a bit overwhelming. Setting aside the overly safe, short and disappointing single-player story, there's a wealth of wave based cooperative maps and a litany of online competitive multiplayer modes. Most of them play wonderfully and they all use that classic Star Wars look and feel on an unrivaled scale

The original Battlefront 1 and 2 that came out years ago (early 2000s) had the same type of gameplay, but the new Battlefront 1 and 2 were made by EA, and that's where the problems begin.  For parents: What is not listed on the box is EA's toxic behavior of putting loot boxes (unregulated gambling) and pay to win tactics (paid upgrades for the best gear and playable characters such as jedi and sith) into the game

 So, unbeknownst to you parents out there, your child or teenager is being exposed to unregulated gambling in their videogame if they get a hold of your money, and being tempted to purchase their favorite characters from StarWars to play as in the game. The game does not force them to pay any additional charges, but they will have to spend hours playing the game just to be able to play as Luke, Vader, or other popular StarWars characters due to how EA uses this 'grind' to tempt many players to cheat ahead by buying the characters instead. Unfortunately this is also present in games such as Overwatch and Fortnite. Please be advised and monitor your child's gameplay experience

Decent game for a StarWars fan, but parents be warned.

The Straw That Broke the Camel’s Back

  Overall I'm glad I bought it, especially now that EA has gotten rid of a lot of the pay-to-play stuff. If you love Star Wars games, you'll definitely enjoy this for at least the single player campaign.

 You really need a fast, solid internet connection to play this one, or you will have some lag and glitches. The story campaign was maybe the best part, and if nothing else it's a good practice for playing online--although you won't get most of the weapons and abilities available in it until you play a LOT of multiplayer.  Overall I'm glad I bought it, especially now that EA has gotten rid of a lot of the pay-to-play stuff. Fun for a little while

 It’s a mix between shootouts, lightsaber fighting and vehicular combat including space battles. My favorite multiplayer mode is Heroes vs Villains which puts Light Side heroes up against the Dark Side villains from all three trilogies. This mode has a mix between lightsaber code quarter and long range gun fights.  GRAPHICS 8/10 The graphics are very good
