Unfortunately, it has cheaper-feeling ABS keycaps that may get shiny from finger oils. Additionally, although this keyboard has good ergonomics and multiple incline settings, the wrist rest is made of hard plastic, so it isn't as comfortable as a cushioned rest. As long as those minor issues don't bother you, this keyboard makes a great choice for anyone looking for a good bang for their buck with a budget mechanical keyboard that punches above its weight.

The best budget mechanical keyboard that we've tested is the EVGA Z15. Despite its budget price point, this full-size board is packed with features found on more premium boards, including onboard memory, dedicated media keys, and the ability to assign macros to any key. It also feels very well-built and has a brushed metal backplate that feels very sturdy.

This keyboard works great, and looks very nice. the build quality is great, exactly what you expect for the price, I went for the green switches and they are great . The only issue is there is a known compatibility issue of this exact keyboard with windows 10 where the windows search bar bugs out whenever you restart your pc, and you have to unplug the keyboard and restart the pc again and then plug it after the pc is on . you can look this up, and apparently it is an issue with windows trying to update the keyboard drivers everytime it boots up, the only solution is to manually update the keyboard bios from razer's website, the problem is they don't have any support files or downloads available for this model in particular so you are pretty much stuck with this bug

The branding on the top is absolutely atrocious. It's way too big and the keycap legends they're just super outdated and not really sleek or clean wit...

As soon as I picked the keyboard up from the packaging, I knew I was going to return it. It feels cheap and flimsy. I got this keyboard as my full time work keyboard and just hated how it felt and how rough the key texture was, while the keys feel hollow and cheap. The left shift key was really stiff compared to my other keyboard

I've heard some bad things about the keycaps it will only be another $30 AUD ($23.32 USD) to just replace them with HK Gaming Pudding Keycaps.

. Apperantly not! Since I live in Turkey my keycaps are in Turkish layout but there are no legit indications that the keycaps will be black paint coated for being Turkish layout. I contacted Razer and their answer was kind of funny and since technical support has no idea about what double shot keycap is they got kind of boastful unnecessarily by basicaly saying "yeah we upgraded our new keyboards with more durable double shot ABS keycaps"

I was going to - until I decide to return the Z15. The software isn't helpful for its operations. EVGA just expects you to know how it works as if all their customers are hard-core keyboarders who spend about $300~9000 on a keyboard! The color settings and such were the easiest and most flexible to figure out and use, but for some things like macros and key assignments, I still don't know how they work.

Except that one needs some *real* crappy software to use all of its features^(\*), and the other one... Well, there are some serious complaints about Razer quality, and, being a mechanical one, it's not very quiet

I don't care. I'm glad I did. I have a hard time seeing in the dark and need a backlit keyboard. I replaced my Logitech with this because I was drawn to the price, and I am happy to report the backlit keys are way brighter and easier to see than the Logitech was

So far I've only found two keyboards that match my criteria: the Logitech G915 and the Razer Blackwidow V3 Pro, but both are seriously expensive. The Filco Convertible 2 is really close but doesn't have backlighting. The Ducky Freedom looks like it would be perfect but seems to have been put on hold. Other than that, I'm struggling to find anything

At least EVGA used standard sized keys so you can replace them easily. Minus one star for the absurdly large EVGA logo on it. I really don't understand this design choice. I love EVGA as much as the next person, but this is ridiculous

Colors are great. However, the software needs to be more user friendly and needs improvement. When keys are programmed in 'hyper' mode for gaming, they don't always work and are inconsistent. Saving particular game keys is not fluid
