Everglide Aqua King vs Gateron Brown

(Better than the Tangerines? I would say a lubed Aqua King and lubed Tangerine are on par. I prefer the latter's sound, but that is only my opinion. You need to test them out for yourself and also on the board you plan to put them into.) In all, my rating comes down to the switch and not just the comparison to another switch

Perhaps unsurprisingly, both Cherry MX and Gateron browns came out at the bottom of the ranking by this measure. On top of that, some experiments I did with swapping in more tactile stems confirm that the brown switches also have relatively weak tactile leaf springs.
