 Nice and clean, so we can really hear what this pedal is going to do. As soon as I engage it, it is a little noisy right off the bat, but the original Memoryman definitely is noisy. Let's hear what we've got. It definitely has the vibe of the original Memoryman that I'm hearing

 I would be fine with that, but it is really noisy. There's a great vibe to it, though, I will admit that it has that thing that almost no other delay has. I can't get past the noise of the pedal. Another drawback to the pedal is the knobs are so small, it's hard to even get your fingers in between here

The big DMM is a pleasure to play and explore sounds with while I feel like the H9 is a very capable classic Eventide rack unit harmonizer and multi effect condensed into a pedal format. Midiverb just oozes gooey and characterful reverb tones I have come to love listening to MBV, Stone Roses and Warp records and I'm thinking of selling my Strymon Big Sky as I feel it lacks character and always sounds a little harsh and cold in comparison. Things many people value in pedals nowadays such as pedalboard-friendly compact size or midi presets do not matter so much for me. For instance, with the DMM, I have owned both the smaller XO-version and the bigger version, and I find the larger one to be more fun to play with and more beautiful, leading to actually using it more

 The push button over here engages the modulation and although it's subtle you can easily mimic the wow and flutter of a tape delay. So first let's turn off the modulation and see what kind of delay times we could get. I'm playing on a G&L Comanche into a 65 amp Soho. Here's the bypass signal

com. Today we have the Carbon Copy Analog Delay from MXR. This truly analog delay uses bucket brigade technology with up to 600 milliseconds of delay time. With this pedal you can get some classic delay sounds and with the included modulation you can achieve some swirling and spacious tones

 So it's a nice subtle effect and if you want to adjust the width or the speed of the modulation there's actually two easily accessible trim pots on the inside of the pedal. So here's a good setting for a short slap-back echo. I have the repeats set to about two or three and the mix is up quite a bit. So here's my favorite setting

 Now let's check out the range of the mix control. So the cool thing about the mix control is that if you roll it all the way up you'll still hear the guitar's dry signal. So it's a nice subtle effect and if you want to adjust the width or the speed of the modulation there's actually two easily accessible trim pots on the inside of the pedal. This really is a fantastic delay, I played in guitar center and listened to it on youtube and it seemed very "ambient" and pleasing, and in person it about fits the same bill. The texture is very organic to my ears, and fills space without clogging up the guitar's signal. My grippe, and after reading other comments it may be what the pedal is designed for, but to me the "mod" button seems almost useless, I find that it boosts the top end frequencies, but at the same time it thins out the bottom end frequencies so it just sounds less full. I've used other delay pedals with "mod", and this one is still better than most, but it stumps me why even have it when it's effect minimal, and what I found was it's VERY difficult to use without getting the "seasick" tone

That said I think after 9 o'clock, the pedal may start to filter in gain that increases the pedals signal, and if your playing straight into an amp this will "fight" your preamps gain, so if you have that issue you can just turn down the mix knob and it will sit very well in the mix.

It also comes in a bright version, which comes in a brighter shade of green, and it's a slightly more crisper kind of delay sound. But if you want the classic carbon copy, the dark green one is the guy to go for

 It's such a good, famous, reliable pedal. It's a little box of wonder, really. It's an all-analog, true bypass, lovely, warm, Booker Brigade delay sound, and it's remarkably simple to use. Even a numbskull Jordia like me can do it

 This is the MXR carbon copy, the legendary MXR carbon copy. I think probably the MXR carbon copy has been a staple on every famous guitar player's pedal board at some point in their lives. It's such a good, famous, reliable pedal. It's a little box of wonder, really

There may be nicer tape-delay type units on the market, but for the money you'd have a hard time beating the MXR as a baseline, industry-standard reference for analog delay. I consider this pedal to be a must-have now; it's on about 40 - 50% of the time.  You can go full Pink Floyd space cadet with this, especially with the "mod" switch that creates weird pipe organ warbles. However, I usually turn it way down and blend in the wet/dry signals (nice feature!) for a subtle texturing effect for both electric and acoustic

and the cathedral reverb pedal! it is a big lush sound and this has nice options with every twist of the knobs. the modulation button on it, on the top left, is amazing and makes this pedal nearly a chorus delay, so that was such an incredible bonus to discover that there are no complaints to this. no matter the genre you play, this would probably be a better choice than digital, though if you can get into a music store to try it, you will like the sound from it. bucket brigade at it again, lol

being into dreamy music, and even hard rock and metal when I was younger, delay has always been a part of my effects, sometimes my only effect, being the one that you can create melodies over yourself (I will avoid saying play with yourself for the less mature reading this :p ). I always used digital delay pedals not really knowing or caring about the difference till recently. while I actually liked the sound of the tc corona chorus more than the analog ones, and bought it, love it, as for delay, I had enough of the digital sound and really just wanted something to flesh the sound out, not an exact replica of each sound going on and on. the analog has a nice warmth and the sound just fades away softly, which sounds amazing with any other effects, like the chorus and the pitch fork pedal I also got

 Controls are nice and stiff so they wont get knocked off settings too easily. Sounds warm and lush - not dull. The modulation circuit really adds useful depth and width. Its like a psychoacoustic illusion
