 So here's a tip, go ahead and set the same device or same network name and the same password that was on your previous device or Wi-Fi router. So for example, if you had your network named home sweet home and the password was password 123, keep the same password and the same network. This way you don't have to change all your cameras, your computers and everything. Everything is just connected again to that device, which was really neat

Amazon eero Pro 6 WIFI Mesh Router System Unboxing Setup Review + Speed Test

 My old system in my old house (ASUS router and a wifi extender in a single-story home) used to drop out constantly and slowly got worse over time; I’d have to unplug/replug the extender so it would establish a new connection, and sometimes also needed to reboot the router itself. Even worse, I rarely got the speeds I was paying for. This eero system — I bought the Pro 6 2-pack — has been a wonderful improvement.  The Pros: Unlike the old ASUS, the eero interface is Apple-like in its simplicity and intuitive ease

 The units also run worrisomely hot; I don’t think it’s gonna be a real problem, but I do have to keep each one out in the open and not enclosed in a cabinet with other electronics, etc.  All in all, after a solid two months of use, I’d give this eero system an A-.

 You're not bombarded with too much information, which in my opinion is how it should be. At the top, you'll see if you're connected to the internet or not, how many routers are in your system as well as their location. From there, you have profiles. These allow you to assign specific devices on your network to a specific person like your kids, for example

 And one of the benefits of this router is you can mesh multiple ones together and importantly, the Eero Pro 6 uses tri-band technology which reserves a dedicated band just for communication between the mesh routers, which will improve the speeds you get from the satellite routers as well as the overall reliability of the system. Going mesh made a huge difference for me. I had/have great overall speed at the main router and anything plugged into it or in the same room, but the signal was not strong in other areas of the house, especially perimeter areas and outside where I had cameras. Switched to TP-Link Deco system and now I get strong signals and speeds everywhere.

Let me start by stating that my (Spectrum) wifi prior to having v3 Wyze cameras was not super fast but it always did the job. I have the maximum wifi obtainable for my area.
Now, I have 7 Wyze v3 cameras’ and my tv’s are buffering at times and on a few occasions FaceTime disconnects, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Wifi issue?

 Been using it for a week now and no reboots and complete connectivity with all the computers and devices running. Since I do IT for a living I do hate their app as it is too simple and the web interface is a joke compared to the iPhone app's. The advanced feature just are not there for someone who knows what they are doing but the price is right and when I need my son to get offline I can easily toss him on the deny list and his gaming computer is offline. Don't need their subscription plan for that

 I work IT for my company so I need reliable remote connections and have VPN's running to 3 remote computers all day, video conferencing, etc. I have 500Mbps download service with Spectrum. Immediately my speed test jumped from 320Mbps with the Netgear system to 475MBps with the main router and 420MBps on the remote satellite . Speed jumps around between 320 and 400+ depending on how Spectrum throttles the connection

Great replacement for Netgear RBK50

 The range on this is unlike anything I've ever seen on a consumer device. I can be at the edge of my backyard, at least 75 feet from the Deco, and on the other side of a brick wall and I still get excellent coverage. I also love that they will "mesh" with other Deco devices, so if you have older Decos or need to expand your coverage, you can add other Deco devices to your network, not just other X90s.  The Decos themselves are fairly attractive and look good sitting on a tabletop

 I hoped it would offer more QoS features, but all I can really tell that it does is unlock more Parental Control features. The features themselves are actually pretty good. You can assign devices to different "profiles" and then set rules for that profile. Its pretty well done

There Are So Many Great Things About It, But the Bad Things are Pretty Bad

I got this for the parental controls (to limit my kids daily time) and for whole house coverage.   You have to pay a subscription fee to get the parental controls, which I did.  The problem is that, unless you power the devices off, they download in the background (apps checking for updates, system updates, etc) .  The two hour allocation would be used up while they were in school and I'd have to keep adding time after they got home

So far so good.  Had appliance WiFi connectivity issues with the ORBI system and couldn’t get their customer service to figure it out.  So I returned it and got the Tp-Link Deco. Now with the Deco,  Initially had some connection issues with some appliance WiFi connectivity, however to-link customer service helped me problem solve it and no issues

 The Deco App is user friendly but very limited in regards to router setup so I had to do most of the advanced configuration on the BGW to get both pieces of equipment to play nice. The BGW has no true bridge mode but I was able to get it to act as a stand-alone gateway for the Deco by setting up ip pass through, disabling dhcp and most of the firewall options. Initial test results were promising with the x68 in router mode clocking in wifi speeds of up to 700mb and Ethernet speeds of up to 970mb. Where things started going south was when I noticed the second unit kept disconnecting from the wired backhaul and reverting back to the wireless backhaul which cuts the total bandwidth of the remote unit in half

I have att 1GB fiber running to an ONT feeding the WAN port of a BGW210 gateway/router and was looking to upgrade the built in wifi of the BGW210 which has always had poor range and speed performance. I chose the TPLink Deco product family given the great price point for the features they had to offer.
