 So here's a tip, go ahead and set the same device or same network name and the same password that was on your previous device or Wi-Fi router. So for example, if you had your network named home sweet home and the password was password 123, keep the same password and the same network. This way you don't have to change all your cameras, your computers and everything. Everything is just connected again to that device, which was really neat

Amazon eero Pro 6 WIFI Mesh Router System Unboxing Setup Review + Speed Test

 My old system in my old house (ASUS router and a wifi extender in a single-story home) used to drop out constantly and slowly got worse over time; I’d have to unplug/replug the extender so it would establish a new connection, and sometimes also needed to reboot the router itself. Even worse, I rarely got the speeds I was paying for. This eero system — I bought the Pro 6 2-pack — has been a wonderful improvement.  The Pros: Unlike the old ASUS, the eero interface is Apple-like in its simplicity and intuitive ease

 The units also run worrisomely hot; I don’t think it’s gonna be a real problem, but I do have to keep each one out in the open and not enclosed in a cabinet with other electronics, etc.  All in all, after a solid two months of use, I’d give this eero system an A-.

 I now have a small-ish two-story house and put the gateway unit in my upstairs office and the companion unit in the living room downstairs.  You're not bombarded with too much information, which in my opinion is how it should be. At the top, you'll see if you're connected to the internet or not, how many routers are in your system as well as their location. From there, you have profiles. These allow you to assign specific devices on your network to a specific person like your kids, for example

The Orbi is very expensive and I do not understand why I need to pay for wifi when I pay monthly for wifi in my home. Except that it did not work in my whole house only in one room. the Orbi is working now but I had to turn off the house wifi in order for it to work.

I bought thisabout 4 months ago to bypass the Verizon router.  Very easy to set up but except for running speed tests, I can't tell a difference.  The satellite doesn't seem to help any.  My phone seems to take longer to load apps than before and we have had some buffering on streaming tv for the first time in years though not a lot
