 It's the earplug. This is actually my pair. I have my own pair of earplugs. They're not custom made, but they are

 I found these guys and I ordered them, and actually when I first got them, I ordered a size that was too big for me. You see, I have very small ear canals. I've actually known this before, and so I've had custom-made earplugs made in the past, and each time I wanted to get the filters that are like hi-fi filters or musicians' filters, as they call them, I wanted the musicians' filters because I just wanted it to cut the frequencies evenly, and I wanted to be able to enjoy the music that I was listening to or the concerts I attended. But after getting the molds taken out of my ears, I would usually get a call from the company saying, by the way, your ear canals aren't big enough, and we need to either cancel your order or use a different filter

.. You can choose the size that you need for the best fit for you. So there's two reasons I really love these earplugs

 One thing I mentioned just now is that you get the size that works best for you. The second thing is these are what you call Hi-Fi earplugs, and they cut the frequency just all evenly from highs to lows, everything just turned down. It's not like using a foam earplug and it's just muffled sounding or you just hear this weird bass sound. It's not like that

 Erasers fit securely, they're comfortable for hours, and they're nearly invisible. And rather than muffling the sound like most foam earplugs, they simply lower the volume while maintaining sound quality. That means I can hear my guitar perfectly and even make adjustments to tone while I'm wearing them. I've even started using them offstage, like whenever I attend a concert or if I'm bouncing at a bar where a loud band is playing

 I can even see them working well in a loud factory setting or if you're riding a motorcycle. The only downside I can see to erasers is that they're a bit expensive. I paid $40 for this pair, and while I consider it money well spent, I do fear that I'm going to lose one and then I'm going to have to drop another $40 for another pair. At this point I can't speak much about the longevity of the erasers because I've only had mine for a couple months

 As a musician, your hearing should be a top priority, so do yourself a favor and pick up a pair of ear erasers. The music still sounds the same and I can still hear people talking. I initially bought the medium, then after correspondence with Persona Medical (who makes them), paid the $10 exchange fee and shipped them back. The smalls were definitely better than the mediums, but I still had doubts - they pushed out after 15-20 minutes of wear. More conversation with the company's VP - she dropped an x-small in the mail, no fee asked for, and said just return the pair I didn't want. I took my time testing out both, and after trying pushing with my finger in different directions

I love them overall but one thing I have noticed over the last 2 years they are not a sticky as they were before which means they don't stick as well. These are completely worthless to me.  The silicone sticks to my fingers.  I have to repeatedly push them against my ear canal so they can stay.  They are not flush in any way

These ear plugs are a LIFE SAVER!!!!! I have two cats, one is an F2 Savannah Cat. He’s for sure on the wild side, with tons of energy, always running around jumping on things and on a never ending quest to destroy all of the plants in my apartment, while making tons of wild noises. For some reason, every night when I lie down to sleep, no matter what time it is, Snickers (our cat) decides OH THIS WOULD BE THE PERFECT TIME TO PRACTICE DOING TRICKS ON THE STRIPPER POLE NEXT TO THE BEDROOM.
