The Dynastar M Pro 90 is an awesome option for advanced to expert level guys looking for all mountain versatility. The Hybrid Core is made up of Poplar PU for the perfect blend of weight savings and rigidity. Titanal Rocket Frame stiffens the ski by a layer of titanal running the length of the ski for consistent power and stable edging. The Fiberglass Torsion Box adds a layer of lightweight fiberglass to torsionally stiffen the ski for those hard chargers who like to ski fast.  I think an athletic intermediate would do just fine on them as long as you're kind of aware of the strength of the tail back here. And I also think the 90 is a little bit easier to ski than the 99. Just quicker edge to edge, a little bit lighter, less mass, that kind of stuff. I wouldn't go as far as saying it's a particularly forgiving ski, but if you've heard people say that the 99 can be pretty demanding, it's not as true with this 90

 There's a few manufacturers that do that. Maybe you can pick up on who I'm referring to. It is pretty much the opposite in these skis. So what that does to performance is this tip shape is not designed to pull you into a turn like some skis will

 So this tip might not be the strongest carving tip or forebody of a ski in the world, but that's okay because it allows for more versatility and allows you to kind of dictate how you're skiing. Contrastly, in the tail here, the tail is quite strong. Pretty stiff and pretty strong back here. So once you're in a carving turn, you get a ton of power through kind of the mid-foot section of the ski and through the tail here

 But you do need to be a reasonably good skier because there is some unweighting of the tail required, particularly if you're trying to make a lot of short turns through technical terrain. It's not just going to slide and slip and smear from side to side. It does require you to kind of unweight the tail back here and pick it up like a traditional skiing technique. Which again, that's kind of where it being a skier's ski comes into play

 Hey skiers! I'm Jeff from SkiEssentials.com. Welcome to our 2023 ski test. Today we're

 chatting about the Dynastar M-Pro 90. This is a super cool ski. I really like how Dynastar kind

 of approaches the M-Pro line with their own style, their own build techniques, and really their own

 concepts of how they want their ski to feel. It does kind of set itself apart from I would say

 most of the heavy hitters in this category with a different shaping concept and different construction

 style, and it's a really cool ski. We've often described these skis as real skiers skis. You

 get to choose how you're going to ski it, where you're going to go, stuff like that. You're not

 just along for the ride on a ski that kind of has a mind of its own. So we can talk more about why

 that is and that overall concept, but before we get into that, it's built with a hybrid PU core.

 So what they're doing here is they're blending a traditional wood core with polyurethane material,

 and what that does, the PU material, it helps shed some weight. It also actually adds some

 vibration damping, so it gives these skis quite a smooth feel. It is enhanced by the metal that

 we're going to look at momentarily. Maybe the better example of how that hybrid core works is

 in the M Freeline, which doesn't have metal because those skis are quite smooth as well,

 really good vibration damping. But it is in this ski too, and then I mentioned that metal,

 you may be able to see it on this ski that's propped up, but we have titanal rocket frame

 in these skis. So if you think of like the Apollo rockets and the shape of that, that's basically

 how the metal is shaped. So up here in the forebody of the ski, you get this kind of tapering,

 pointy strip of metal that gets narrower and narrower and narrower as you go up in the ski.

 It is full width underfoot, and then it's actually a little wider in the tail than it is

 in the tip, so it really does look like that long tall rocket. And that construction

 pretty much mirrors the shape of the ski as well. So I think the shape of these skis is very

 interesting. We get this long rocker profile up here and quite a bit of early taper in the tip as

 well, and then a flatter, wider, almost more squared off tail. So if you kind of think about

 that, normally, or from a lot of manufacturers, we would kind of see the opposite, at least for

 construction. We would see more metal up here in the forebody of the ski and a little bit less in

 the tail. There's a few manufacturers that do that. Maybe you can pick up on who I'm referring to.

 It is pretty much the opposite in these skis. So what that does to performance is this tip

 shape is not designed to pull you into a turn like some skis will. Tip it on edge and it just hooks

 up and takes you straight into a carve. That's kind of the first place where you're getting that
