Ideally suited for intermediate to advanced skiers, the M-Pro 84 loves steeps, bumps, and trees, just not at totally top speed. But that's most skiers out there, so that's a good thing.

 Hi I'm Dan and just got done riding the Dynastar M-Pro 84. It's a really nice easy skiing ski for someone that's looking for more of your front side carving type of ski. Very damp ski, really smooth in and out of the turns. Doesn't have a whole lot of energy but it's just really smooth, cruises really really well

 Hi, skiers. I'm Jeff from SkiEssentials.com. Welcome to our 2021 Ski Test videos. Today we're talking about the new M Pro 84 from Dynastar.

 This is part of the brand new M Pro line of skis and the M line in general. And the 84 is a little bit different than the wider skis, the 90 and the 99.

 So, most notably is they drop metal out of this ski. So, it's just a poplar wood core, fiberglass laminate, pretty straightforward build, but you get a really cool shape still.

 And it's actually a little bit different of a shape than we see in those other M Pro skis. So, a little bit more abrupt of a taper angle in the tip and a little bit more of an abrupt taper angle in the tail as well.

 A little bit less rocker than we see in the M Pro 90 and 99, but there's still some nice tip and tail rocker, a little bit more in the tip than you get in the tail.

 Now, this ski is going to be a fantastic choice for what I would like to call kind of a developing all-mountain skier.

 So, maybe you've been skiing something that has more of a dedicated on-trail shape in the past. Maybe you don't feel like you're quite ready to jump into a ski like the M Pro 90 with metal and more of an aggressive feel.

 This thing is going to be pretty darn easy to ski. You know, it's still 84 underfoot, so still like a little bit too much for a beginner or a timid intermediate per se, but pretty much everybody else is going to have no problem skiing this ski.

 And the benefit that it provides is this shape is much more versatile than most skis we see in this width range and this price range too.

 So, if you're skiing your local resort, this is the type of ski that you can take literally anywhere on the mountain and you're going to feel pretty much right at home.

 Maybe a little bit narrow for really deep snow conditions, but this shape with the taper angle and the tip and tail, it gives the ski a very maneuverable feel.

 So, if you want to start exploring moguls and trees and stuff like that, or maybe you already do, but you want a ski that just performs better in that application, M Pro 84 is awesome.

 I think a lot of people would really enjoy skiing this. You know, there's certainly nothing wrong with a straightforward build and no crazy additives.

 It still performs at a pretty darn high level. It'll hold an edge well, you know, even if you're making pretty aggressive turns on firm snow. There's no slouch in that arena,

 but it's a little bit more forgiving than some of the aggressive all-mountain skis out there on the market.
