After browsing through this sub for about 2 hours i came on several keyboards Ducky Mecha Mini, GK61, Kemove Snowfox and Durgod Venus but this one falls off the table because of the consistency of people reporting freeze issues, I really don't like that!. I'm was bent on getting the Drop Alt high profile when I took a closer look at the Keychron 6.
Looks like the K6 have a hotswap aluminium case option with RGB at half of the price of the Alt.

I'm not sure if I'll like the gateron switches that come with it, both of my other keyboards have cherry mx browns.

I have a logitech G613. I experience double keyclicks. I removed the most offending keys and used an airduster and I replaced the batteries. Didn't help a lot.

I Have a few keys not working on my newish, late January, Leopold FC750r and I think it was caused by a spill from about a week ago. I had cleaned up the spill after it happened and let my keyboard sit to dry until i used it again. Plus the spill was no where near the keys that are effected. I have tried clearing out the switches with isopropyl alcohol but to no avail. Is there by chance anything i can do, that isnt extreme, to save the keyboard.

Got a Leopold FC660M with mx browns that arrived a couple days ago, and there's a good amount of ping. This is my first mechanical keyboard, and I don't have any experience with modding, but I did go ahead and fill the case with shelf liner along with the already included sound dampening, which helped slightly... but it's still there, and driving me nuts.   


I know the switches will need lubing to actually fix the spring ping, but I don't have a soldering iron or soldering experience. Are there other mods I'm overlooking? Should I suck it up and learn how to solder? Should I just try to get used to the constant ringing? Or should I try to find someone who can fix it for me? Trying to weigh my options.

Just got my first mech keyboard, but noticed that every time I hit a key/shift the keyboard there's a metallic ping. It's kind of annoying and I don't think it's normal, but is this under warranty? Is there anything I can do to fix it on my own?

I live in Canada and I'm looking for a new mechanical keyboard. Right now, I have the Logitech G910 Orion Spark (with Romer Gs) and i'm looking for a TKL keyboard with brown-like switches. My budget would be around 170 CAD  (so roughly 125 USD).

I'm having some difficulties when looking for this kind of keyboard, since they're often out of stock and resellers sells them for 200$, even more at times. 

I had my eyes on a Ducky One 2 TKL that I found on MechanicalKeyboards, but with the absurd shipping it would cost me as much as the Logitech Pro keyboard, which has rgb and their own version of cherry browns, so I don't see why I would take the Ducky.

Would there be a better alternative?

I bought a switch tester and decided on Cherry MX clears. Close between a browns and blacks, but I think I like the bump and am a bit more heavy handed. A little worried about fatigue, since I am more often gaming than typing.

Really like that too but then I tried a keyboard with blue switches and decided I prefer the feel and sound of blue so I bought a Filco Majestouch-2 TKL. Only one problem, the Das have 2 x high-speed USB ports on them which I kinda need so I can still use other things I need for my work laptop and the Filco doesn't have them so I run out of USB ports (and I really don't want to have to get a USB hub for my laptop as it's just extra cables I could do without.

Does anyone know of a good, nice, non-RGB mech keyboard for around the same price that is still TKL, has USB ports and blue switches?

If Das made the 4C with blue switches, I'd be more than happy.

Hi guys, i have been lurking on this reddit for quite some time.. So my first recent Mk was a coolermaster MasterKeys Pro S.. Nice TKL, then I wanted a new Keeb for work, so I got a Varmilo VA87M Mac. Both MX browns btw.. So then, i backed on Kickstarter the Keychron K6 with gateron reds.. Its ok and all, but the quality isn't as great as the Varmilo or Coolermaster..  My main gripes with it the shitty keycaps and shoddy bluetooth... It was a bit of experiment if I liked reds.. not so much.. 

So now I'm on the fence, should i back another Kickstarter campaign for the Epomaker Gk86xs with aluminium with cherry mx browns or blue, Or should I just build my own based for example on KBD67V2 MKII kit or a Tofu 60%. Or you just get another Ducky One 2 SF or Varmilo Miya va68 (I love that [Summit version](https://en.varmilo.com/keyboardproscenium/subject_product_detailed?subjectid=249), its perdy!) .. I really like 60-65% form factor..  I mean, If I was about to spend a 170 bucks on a new pre-built keyboard, I might as well spend a bit more and go completely custom..

<div class="md"><p>Hi guys, i have been lurking on this reddit for quite some time.. So my first recent Mk was a coolermaster MasterKeys Pro S.. Nice TKL, then I wanted a new Keeb for work, so I got a Varmilo VA87M Mac. Both MX browns btw.. So then, i backed on Kickstarter the Keychron K6 with gateron reds.. Its ok and all, but the quality isn&#39;t as great as the Varmilo or Coolermaster..  My main gripes with it the shitty keycaps and shoddy bluetooth... It was a bit of experiment if I liked reds.. not so much.. </p>

<p>So now I&#39;m on the fence, should i back another Kickstarter campaign for the Epomaker Gk86xs with aluminium with cherry mx browns or blue, Or should I just build my own based for example on KBD67V2 MKII kit or a Tofu 60%. Or you just get another Ducky One 2 SF or Varmilo Miya va68 (I love that <a href="https://en.varmilo.com/keyboardproscenium/subject_product_detailed?subjectid=249">Summit version</a>, its perdy!) ..  The stock stabs are unreal, they are lubed and have no rattle. There is no pinging in the board and everything feels very responsive and smooth.

Lighting is great and its USB C obviously. The part where this board really stood out for me considering the price is how good it feels to type on even compared to my other much more expensive boards like the Massdrop ALT.
