I have had a large digit LED clock near my TV for several years, but that clock was very complicated to update due not being intuitive and to having numerous features that I never needed (day, date, year, 2 time zones, etc). Changing from Standard to Daylight time usually ended up taking a half hour and created a lot of frustration. I finally threw that clock in the garbage, and ordered this "DreamSky Compact Digital Alarm Clock" from Amazon. I decided on this clock as a result of reading numerous reviews that said it was easy to set - and it is! Setting it the first time took just seconds, and that is without even looking at the included instructions

 This clock is good looking and compact. I especially like the continuously variable brightness level you set with an analog rotary dial. Overall verdict: This clock is a winner!

 Very very simple setting. The alarm is very similar. hold and press alarm set and we're using this time indicator down here. So I'm waking up at 6 00 am

 So to change the time, all we do is hold and press time, set the first button as this flashes see the minus and plus buttons, just press them as appropriate. Say I'm on the hour, press it again, time set and it goes to minutes and again minus or plus. Very very simple setting. The alarm is very similar

 whatever is convenient for you. And you have a snooze button right on top, right on the middle right up here that all you do is tap it and it goes into snooze mode and you can hit the snooze button five times and it'll come back on after nine minutes. Now let me show you some of the different colors you can choose from. Now basically the buttons here on the side are for controlling your light intensity and your light uh, color choices

 And let me give you an idea of what some of the different light colors are that you can select from, you can see right there. All you do is select the uh. You start off with a color and you pick whatever colors you like to basically wake up to or go to bed to your choice. You can customize it any way you like and once you pick the given color, then you can just change the intensity more or less

 You can also use it as a night light if you adjust the light intensity down to your comfort level. You can also turn off the Led clock if you want complete darkness When it goes off, let me show you exactly how that works when you turn off the clock you set it to auto, you can turn off the clock completely and that way you don't have any light when it goes off and I'll show you how it goes off when you set it to doze off mode and I'll show you how it comes back on when you're using the alarm and then I'll show you some of the different colors you can choose from.  So I'm just gonna press again just to shut off the alarm. Okay, so you get those two buttons, then the next set of buttons which is these three buttons. Here is the light and you're going to be able to turn it on and you're going to be able to cycle through the different intensities. So it begins with the lowest setting and then with the plus and minus signs

 You can use it as a nightlight or even a reading light. So the way you would do that is you go into the light section here and simply turn that on and then set your color that you want for either as a nightlight at the lowest setting or something in between. or if you need a reading light, you just put it full intensity and you can use that as a reading light so you it's everything from has a nightlight there and then you can gradually move this slider over to get the exact lighting that you want. You could also use this alarm clock to turn the light on and have it cycle through different colors

 So theoretically the way this should work is as soon as this goes to 711 it should begin the sunrise gradual lighting that it is there. So for the next 10 minutes it's going to gradually change the lighting to full brightness and it shows here by this icon that it's it's got the sunrise lighting enabled. All right. So I'm gonna go into alarms I'm gonna shut that off

 so it's gonna sunset for the next 30 minutes. So it's going to begin with this amount of light and it's gonna gradually start moving towards a more subtle looking light that's less bright. Okay, let's go into settings. Let's change the sound to a forest
