 In the central portions of the ski we have an ash laminate on top and a polonia on the bottom and those two cords are sandwiched between two strips of aspen that hold the whole thing together. So it's a great blend of energy, lightweight and density that make the ski you know have its own unique personality and character. They're great for on-trail skiing but also has that wider shape for off-trail stuff and then we get their two layers of carbon. So on top and bottom of that wood core are these two fully carbon laminates, really high-end stuff, pretty darn stiff and very consistent from tip to tail and from day to day

 We do get a little bit of taper here this early taper widest part of the skis about here you know in that RP we would see that taper end a lot lower a lot more towards the middle and then we see pretty similar stuff in the tail you know nothing crazy for a 106 this is about what we expect you know rocker starts about here leading to this moderate splay and then not a whole lot of taper in the back pretty straight cut the longer we go the more we'd see that taper come in but with this 163 sticking to that 19 meter turn radius pretty straight and squared off here in the tail going to hold on tight to the snow you know especially given that carbon and that construction really grippy really energetic ski and a good floater as well so with that spoonier tip shape lighter weight it's going to stay up and out of the fresh but really just lights it up on trail excellent excellent carving ski you know way better on piece than the width indicates and I think that that's just a really good nod to the quality and the construction and craftsmanship of these dps skis so make sure you check out this dps pagoda 106 c2 here at SkiEssentials.com and we will see you out there on the hill. So we still have nice camber underfoot really good for grip and energy combines well with that carbon to make that ski very responsive and then just not a whole lot of rocker especially with what we've seen from DPS in the past with the more banana shape stuff this one is definitely more mainstream oriented in terms of that rocker profile.  Bogota 106C2 for you today. Ski is a carryover from last year which is great news if you missed

 out on your chance. Want another shot at getting on this great all-mountain slash freeride ski.

 At 106 millimeters underfoot we're certainly blending and trending towards that freeride

 side but it has more of an all-mountain personality and character to it just happens to be in a wider

 body format. But one of the better carving 106 millimeter skis out there certainly one of the

 best ones without any metal in it which is what's really impressive about these DPS skis. Their use

 of carbon is far superior to a lot of other manufacturers out there and when you get them

 on your feet and put them on edge you can definitely feel the difference. So we are built with a pretty

You might not even fully realize just how much you want a ski like this. For high-volume ski touring, steep-and-rowdy firm-snow ski mountaineering, and work-week, headlamp exercise skinning, a lightweight set-up based on the K2 WayBack 80 is just the ticket. The featherweight construction flies uphill. The narrow and stiff construction grabs on the steeps but gets bucked around in tougher snow. 
This is a specialized tool. You won't pick these for day-to-day backcountry skiing. Deep, perfect powder snow is enjoyable, but bigger guns will be even more fun. Any sort of poor snow &#40;breakable crust? Slop?&#41; is better handled by a bigger and heavier option. All small skis are under-equipped for tough snow, but the K2 does better than most. It is this ski's more forgiving tough-snow performance that edges it ahead of other close competitors.
